Not my taste, but I'm liking the appeal of cross-platform play more and more. I'm considering picking up the S (a normal white one) when it comes out.
I don't like how MS is handling the S. The most expensive one is out first 2TB at $399.99. Cheapest model is months later the 500GB for $299.99 and 1TB at the same time so I guess $349.99

Cross-platform is the way to go because people should play on the device or platform they love to play. As for the XB1 S i personally like the cleanness of the white one.

Then you must hate every company out there because that's the way almost every company handles things. Sony selling the more expensive VR bundle first, Nvidia selling the GTX 1080 first and so on....

The Last Of Us Remastered is currently at a very low price (7$ US) for a short time on the Playstation Store.
and I wish bluepoint games did the remaster job and not naughty dog. Nathan Drake Collection 1080p60 no slowdown. TLOUR 1080p60 drops framerate a lot usually in the 40fps range. The ps4 version does let you lock the framerate to 30fps so its not much of an issue.

The good thing is it comes with all the dlc and the dlc with Ellie was decent.

also didn't know about this until now xD
When playing at 60 FPS without the lock enabled, you will encounter shadows with high aliasing (blocky edges), and sometimes even shadows missing altogether. With the 30 FPS lock enabled, the edges of shadows are much smoother, and shadows will appear on certain surfaces.

We might need a "post pictures of your workplace" thread :)
(or maybe give it a funnier name like "The perpetual take your daughter to work day thread")
Hahahahaha! sadly i can't make pictures of my workplace as is not allowed as we develope tons of new stuff that shouldn't go to the public until the product made its way to the public after quality control and other things. I posted that picture since is just a board and nothing else is being shown but other than that.... :(

I could post a few pics, but it's kind of boring, I guess.
Actually the outside of the building is the most interesting since it's an old school (literally).
I remember when i was in Essen in Germany which isn't far away from your country i really liked the old style and the buildings. Pretty cool stuff.

something else, I expected this at the end of August but the Xbox S is coming real soon:

Are you buying one? lots of my friends are going crazy for it and have two already who sold their PS4 just to buy the XB1 S. I mean... there are so many cheap deals right now dunno but the XB1 S really looks cool.

That new KOF is tempting but I think I'll catch an Xbox One S now and perhaps a PS4 (Neo?) later.
Yeah, i think the Neo is probably the better option if you want to get a PS4 later on as you will get a far better version of the console. As for the XB1 S i'm still thinking whatever i should get one myself since i will purchase a 4K TV with HDR. I had some conversations with John Linneman(yes the one from Digital Foundry) and he told me about how he was blown away with the image quality of Gears of War 4 playing on the XB1 S on a 4K HDR capable TV and while my wallet is ready to grab one anytime i already own a XB1 so i kinda hold myself back :p

I'm not interested in the Scorpio for now because i will probably buy a whole new PC sporting a GTX 1080 or 1070 and the Intel i7 6700K CPU. In fact i will make a complete upgrade probably :p but i'm still thinking whatever i should or not.

Quite a few retailers have listed the release date of the Xbox One S 2TB option for August 2nd, but Microsoft has always remained coy on whether that date was the official release date.

Today they officially confirmed that the release will indeed happen on August 2nd, but only in select countries.

“Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and United States.”

The price will be the already announced $399, and the console will release in additional markets later this year.

Release dates for the other two hard disk drive options (1TB and 500 GB) are still unknown, and will be revealed at a later date.
why not release all 3 skus at the same time

why build a new pc just get a 1070/1080 and save money. You won't see much gains from a new cpu besides power savings

Tomb Raider is getting a new DLC for its PS4 launch. A new story, Endurance co-op mode, zombies (ugh), new difficulty mode and new outfits.
It'll be released for free to people who already own the Season Pass. Definitely increases the value of the pass now.

Well, i'm giving my brother my current one for his 3D rendering stuff as i can't stand him working with his old computer still so i will probably build another one for myself. As of right now i may go for the 1070 instead of the 1080 as the performance gains isn't too much taking in count the almost 300 bucks difference.

Oh if you dl the KoF14 demo you also get a theme

Well it certainly plays like a KoF game, only thing i can nitpick are the load times. Its a nice 60fps and I had no problems doing combos and specials using the ps4 controller.

input lag is very very low in this game even less than the older games. On KoF13 I remember I couldn't do a lot of things, but no problem with KoF14
