Well yeah though in the menu the game still detects the xinput strokes wierdly, but when actually fighting it gets messed up, very wierd. Windows 8 though it works, i suspect that MS didn't implement Dinput support for the Xbox One Controller as good as in previous versions.

I guess if at some point you do have the motivation and desire to do it it would be another thing to look forward in 10 :p.

Are you sure you tried the game under the latest version of Windows 10 with all updates installed and not a old modified version? i'm asking because i installed the game on my gaming rig which use Windows 10 x64 with all the updates installed. I tested the game using my controller connected with the wireless adapter and with the USB cable to see if there is any difference and even over the network sharing the controller from my tablet to my gaming rig. No matter what i do the game as well as the controller works flawlessly and all buttons, axis and in fact everything works perfectly.

Yeah, menus, game, everything... i start a new story mode and see the first match in the ring. All buttons works and i can use the RT to block and everything just fine. I did the same for all configurations starting from the wireless adapter, USB cable and even through the network USB sharing. On all tests i got the same results.... no issues at all.

Well i just redownloaded the latest version with steam, made sure i had the latest version of windows and it doesn't work, throught menus including the pause one it works as intended, when in the actual game except for punch nothing works....

So i have no idea if it was because of that but it started working... i changed to window mode and it started working now in fullscreen as well, thing is prior to this i did a lot of uninstalling and reinstalling the Device manager.

I now know why it works, i installed the windows 7/8 drivers xbox one drivers, and then reinstalled the default driver in device manager without uninstalling them, and so far it seems to work right. Then dissconected it, reconnected and went to usb gamepads and reset it.

I'm inclined to believe this is what fixed it because now my controller vibrates after windows logon when reaching the desktop.

I guess that's the issue then because i never installed any drivers on Windows 10 as the wireless adapter as well as the controller when plugged through USB is automatically recognized and works properly without any need of extra driver installation.

Yeah, if you used the wrong drivers it could fall back and use the triggers as buttons which may require to be re-configured since they are recognized as triggers with the default driver. That's what happen to the DS4 when you use the default driver and not inputmapper.

I have the feeling that you either have a non-official copy of Windows 10 or you mess around with your drivers causing inconsistensy in the system. I just can't find any other explanation to the weird behaviour on your computer. I pretty much have your setup and i have 0 issues eventhough i even go 2 steps further by using the wireless adapter and secondly redirecting the adapter through the network to my gaming rig which in my opinion should cause issues yet i have no issues at all.

Either that or just as you said MS applied some code to detect your PC or something to troll you hard lol!

The only emu which hates Windows 10 is Desmume xDDD, it runs like "#!"#, everything else is working perfect here

Nope, I did mess up with my Xbox one controller drivers but only after they didn't work with DOA 5, that's why they now worked for DOA but not for other games. And I can assure you my copy of windows 10 was perfectly legit, and I'm not the only one having this issue, if you look on the steam forum and even other places its full of people ms hates :p, to be honest I have no idea how it actually works for you, it could be because you have an older build of the game.

I was just trying to think in what could be the reason but i totally believe you bro. is just a little weird for me since everything works perfectly here and there is absolutely no issue eventhough i'm doing a lot more hardcore things than you when it comes to controllers.

As for NFS are you refering to this one right? because that's the one i installed recently and is obviously up-to-date and the one that works perfectly here. In fact ALL of my games works without any issues no matter which controller or configuration i use:
