hmmm... Microsoft has just bought Nokia.
1st step, become Nokia CEO make the firm go almost bankrubt. 2nd step, sell to Microsoft when it's cheap enough. 3rd step, go and become CEO at Microsoft.

Elop and his masterplan worked wonders...

And I'm not even joking, a lot of people called this when Elop became Nokia CEO.

Circa 3140. Only 3 companies rules the world: Microsoft, Coca-Cola and...Mc Donalds.
Pff... It's Microsoft, Google and Facebook. Although Google and Facebook might combine. Facebook already "owns" most people and holds a lot of info about a lot of people... I can just imagine what uses they'll make for that info when the generations change and the teenagers who post their idiocy to Facebook while wasted become the leaders of this world...

More weird building things, last time it was skyscraper without elevators and now...

London skyscraper's 'solar death ray' melts cars!

A LONDON skyscraper is acting as a giant magnifying glass, reflecting such intense light that it MELTS cars!

The curve-shaped 'Walkie-Talkie' building in the City of London has now been dubbed 'Walkie-Scorchie' after it caused ÂŁ950 of damage to a high-spec Jaguar parked nearby.

The intense rays are given off for two hours a day when the sun reaches a certain position in the sky, and managed to warp the panels and wingmirror on the side of local businessman Martin Lindsay's car.

He was shocked to discover the damage when he returned to his vehicle, and has warned that the rays could be dangerous.

Mr Lindsay said: "You can't believe something like this would happen.

"They've got to do something about it.

"It could be dangerous. Imagine if the sun reflected on the wrong part of the body."

Mr Lindsay's car is not the only mechanical victim - heating and conditioning engineer Eddie Cannon added: "The van looks a total mess - every bit of plastic on the left hand side and everything on the dashboard has melted, including a bottle of Lucozade that looks like it has been baked."

Three parking bays have now been suspended in an attempt to stop any more damage.

The 37-storey building at 20 Fenchurch Street is still under construction, and developers Land Securities and Canary Wharf, said they are investigating the glare from the skyscraper.

They said: ”We did do solar analysis and modelling but it wasn’t picked up. That is always a risk with a building with a new shape...

"As a precautionary measure, the City of London has agreed to suspend three parking bays in the area which may be affected."

The bizarre phenomenon is set to end in three weeks when the autumn sun changes position.

Am I glad I don't live anywhere near there...I already find the sun too bright as it is...

As I've been saying.
Unfortunately however:

Then again the translation snopes has also isn't 100% accurate.

And it leaves out the bit where it says that Eisenberg discovered the effects of the main component of ritalin on rowdy children BEFORE ADHD was an established mental disorder.

Well, the main thing there wasn't that the medication was fake, just that the targets who were given it never really need it in the first place... If you read the article it said that the medication actually hampers growth as the children do not learn to control themselves on their own but instead become dependant on the medication. So the medication is effective at calming children but it doesn't actually help the kids themselves, just the people around them as they finally shut the f**k up...and pharmaceutical companies who make fortunes by drugging the kids.

so, after my first sailing experience (for reals) and being at friends and whatnot just after having PC issues, I now have the machine back up and running at last... hopefully stable enough, so I that IF I decide to replace it for newer hardware I can at least do it at ease :p

better than permanently being stuck in 2002-2005 like me...at least the 90s were fun...
