Women are really hard to please.

It's not the "ring". It's the point of the ring. When you get a ring for a woman, it shows commitment. When she wears it, she gets to show the world that she is taken by you and that you have both made that vow to be married until death do you part. So it's not the actual ring...she wants the meaning behind the ring. I'm sure if you got her even a cheap ring, as long as you are giving it to her with your heart in the right place, then she will love and accept that ring and treat it as if it was worth 10 million dollars.

Remember, even though a lot of women are materialistic, we are very emotional creatures first. The meaning behind the ring is what counts. Not how much it costs or how big the diamond is. You know your wife. Do you think she is being materialistic? If she is, then she is not thinking about the meaning of the ring. If she is more of an emotional woman (like all women are), all she cares about is what the ring means.

It's actually pretty though, it's shaped like a heart and has little (pseduo)-diamonds in it.

See, I think that kind of stuff is romantic. When one of my friends got engaged, her fiance did not have money to buy a ring. He got her a piece of red string and tied it around her ring finger, promising that he would marry her and get her a real ring one day. He did end up getting her a real ring, even though it's not that expensive, but she loves it so much because of what it represents. :3

Well, strike, you know how women like to buy? A lot of women like to buy things to make themselves feel better about themselves. I am good with money. But I had a very horrible day yesterday. One of the worst I've ever had. So, being a woman and being programmed to like shopping, I went and bought a playstation 3 today for a decent price.

Well...when you have had friends since junior high, you discover that some of them progress in life and mature and move on. Then there are others that are mentally stunted and are still immature and wish that their lives in the halls of the public school system was still going on. Sad, but true.

Meh. I'm not too worried. I did a lot of thinking about it. She never quite understood what I was going through with everything so she wasn't even really there for me. It's like I lost something that I didn't even have. Nevertheless, it will and does hurt that she did that to me, but I feel better after assuring myself that she was never really there in the first place and you can't lose something you don't have.
