Processes are supposed to use some power from my processor, doesn't it?
Yeah, but you probably have some dual core rig, and those processors are powerful enough to run Dolphin on max possible speed, and to handle a lot of stuff in the background without problems... They are just using some of the plenty of the left CPU's usage. You can check this in the task mannager (performance tab, i think) while running Dolphin. In other words - Dolphin doesnt use 100% of your CPU , in my case its always around 70-80% usage :)

If you have some singlecore proc, then I have no idea...

Processes don't use any CPU power at all when they don't do anything (such as when they are sleeping or waiting for a message, like most background processes). So shutting down background processes isn't likely to help at all, unless they are thing like uTorrent which wakes up many many times per second to get a block of data or write it and so on. Then again, uTorrent only consumes a very small amount of CPU, and a bit of RAM bandwidth.

I'am not sure it's the best solution, cause when you go to main hall or garden the fps drop down a lot 1/2! :(

I have a new question, why is there no difference when i close a lot of process and when i don't? I don't win any fps by shutting down my firewall and all unecessary processes! Processes are supposed to use some power from my processor, doesn't it? So, i think by shutting down them, i should have more processor power for dolphin...
So why it doesn't work like that? oO
Yes... but Copy to EFB to GL Texture is a hack... Well Killed background process not help... I thinks the problem is the speed, not the space :)

I looking for some info from Dolphin TEAm - is it possible to fix (or add a new one) some of the OPCODES that crashes Resident Evil 4 ? Interpreter works without crashes but too slo-o-o-ow.... And thanks for this GREAT EMU ! :)

Okay fellas, I have just finished Resident Evil Zero on r2416 :) I just wanted to thank Dolphin developers, everyone who contributed to the Dolphin evolution, and this community for making it possible for me to play this masterpiece of a game. :thumb: :D

Game runs full speed all the time, no slowdowns like in REmake. There are sometimes graphic glitches like missing hair on the characters, but you can just get in inventory screen, get out of it, and voila, graphics are OK again. This happens only when you start Dolphin, after you fix it it doesnt bother you again.
Sound is emulating 99% right all the time, but sometimes when you switch from fullscreen to window, and vice-versa, sound stops emulating. If that happens, save state, restart dolphin, load and its all good again :) . Actually, only bigger problem I encountered is that when "idle skipping" is on, cut-scenes freeze. If you set it off, its all good, but still happens ocassionaly. So, my advice - always save state at the start of the cutscenes. And if you use save states instead of the ingame ink ribbon save system, be sure to save often, and save always in different states, since when I was over the 50% of the game, my save state crashed, and I had to start from the beginning, since I used only first state.

Now, for a change in this thread, I have a game-related question. I finnished the game, watched the final cutscene, watched the credits roll... But stats doesnt show up? Did I miss something, or there just arent stats after completing the game?

And yeah, if you wanna play bonus stuff, you have to save after credits when prompted to, and then load from the main menu...

Congrats :) I've just finished Remake :) In the end I've had the stats displayed, so probably zero doesn't have ones. I will tell you, as soon as I finish the game :)

Ohh, and Remake ran fullspeed for me, most of the time with smal sound glitches and no shadows casted by Jill in some areas.

So I would like to thank to the developers, for their great work and for giving us such a great support :) Thanks!

Some new bugs where introduced after rev 2441 now REs look bad on non-IL builds, and they crash a lot randomly on opening door animations on IL builds.

Tested Resident evil 1 Remake on Dolphin svn 2471.
No loading in normal version it runs on IL
Perfect crop on HQ no garbage. It runs perfect on hi resolution and croped to 4:3 ratio.Good speed 30 fps except first cutscene drops to 15 fps (Jill) No sound issues. But it hangs when a door opened next to first zombie scene when you turn where barry is waiting on the chimney. The sound hears on the background but the screen is black.

Post your config. It run well with me. Test with 2473.

R2475 Uploading...

Tested Resident evil 1 Remake on Dolphin svn 2473 IL
Perfect crop on HQ no garbage. It runs perfect on hi resolution and croped to 4:3 ratio.Good speed 30 fps (60 hz Pal version)except first cutscene drops to 15-18 fps and candlelight corner on hall(Jill) Only one sound issue(slutterring garbage sound)on 1 hour of playing. No hangs yet.
Near perfect emulation Only the sometimes shadow missing issue and the sound issue remains(not too much).

GOOD WORK!!

System intel 2180 dual core@3ghz nvidia 8800 gts 320 Mb(630/1470/1800)

Disabled iddle skiping and optimize quanticizers, open GL plugin, full screen resolution 1920x1200,autoscale enabled, keep 4:3 aspect ratio, projection hack before r945 enabled, use safe texture cache enabled.Copy EFB to GL texture HACK enabled.

How about the error? I got a lot of them sometimes.:dead:

ok, Its my turn :D
Resident Evil Zero runs almost perfect (just a few graphics strange sheets (after the first dogs attack)) and some little sound issues.
and the speed its very good. strangely it goes from 60fps to 30 but when its 30 its totally playable it's not slow!! characters moves at normal speeds!!
Using rev2495 IL version (provided by satanic666;))
the configuration I used is :
Enable dual core checked, Lock thread to cores unchecked, Optimize quantizers checked.
Plugin Open gl:
Native resolution unchecked, Keep aspect ratio 4.3 checked, autoscale checked.
and my rig is at my signature... about that I think i should edit... (rev 49  and my clock now is 2.6ghz)

EDIT: sometimes it hungs up when in real time cinematics, but this is mostly cause im using "dual core" mode. so when on cinematics I make a savestate, and if it freezes I reload and skip it.

Fantastic, fantastic stuff with the new fixes! Everything is running excellent, using my laptop's native resolution, with no garbage. Now any game, be it 4:3 or 16:9 will be able to be rendered at the screen's native resolution, while maintaining correct aspect ratio. Excellent.

I don't understand why there are still people complaining !
As we said before, there are many and many rev which run the game near perfectly!
So please, people or noob, I don't want to seem rude, but please before asking about errors or something, take the time to read the thread!!
Even on my laptop which isn't a Ferrari, the game runs like on the gamecube, with 23-30 fps without idle skipping and between 25-80fps with it, so comon and stop complaining!!
Just read the thread then enjoy !

OMG !! Fullscreen stretching REALLY works with custom screen resolution ! =) Works NICE ! :) Works FAST ! :) HUGE THANKS to everyone who create this wonderfull emu, who fixing it, and who keeps this project alive !!! =) You guys are heroes !!!
Resident Evil Remake and Zero status - FULLY PLAYABLE with perfect graphics (except sound bugs and interpolation).

P.S. - why this beautifull fog is disabled again ?? rev 2495 from satanic666
without it RE4 looks like PS2 version %)
