I was wondering what people here thought about it. It doesn't seem to wide spread right now (tho the numbers who have it aren't great either)

But it seems it has a slight death ratio, And no cure yet,.

But China seems more interested in isolating it now, And people have taken up some more precautions about it.

How widespread do you see this disease, Potential Danger ect?

I was thinking that the reported infection count ect, Isn't so bad, I mean considering Chinas population, But you can only guess how many "might" have it as well.

It doesn't seem like it will be impossible to cure but..

damn, i'm too close to it. it definetly makes me a little paranoid about frantically coughing people. luckily, i haven't seen any, so i should be alright. i think theres been 4 cases in my city, but i belive they've quarantined themselves in their homes or something.

In canada there seems to be alot of cases recently. Luckily live twards the west so im a little more safe than easterners. But still it frightens me that they have no cure.

well, there were some cases in the US with flight that landed in san jose, but they were ready (what with the warning from whats happened in canada)

well at present, we have no SARS cases so far... although there are some people who are contained... those who came from countries infected with the virus...

We have a lot more to fear from STDs, cancer, heart attacks, (insert diseases) than SARS right now. Unless SARS cases balloon, I think it's being overly feared. In the U.S., there are...what, 90 cases of SARS? I bet there are more than 90 cases of STDS in Podunk, Iowa. :p

It's regular flu and cold season still in a lot of places (including my city). I doubt it has anything to do with SARS.

isn't SARS an airborn virus? just because your hands are clean, doesn't mean you're safe. hence the masks people are wearing.
