The same as yours and the possibility to speed games up and to save everywhere i want.

 

So that I can Play any game with enhanced graphics, yet I wish it worked alot better than it does, but that's a whole nother story.

Couple of reasons:

1. graphic enhancements

2. unlimited save capability

3. Online play (came afterwords)

4. Preserves our real PSX's CD lens (They don't last very long)

 

YES THOSE STUPID LENSES. That's the main reason I started looking for emulation. My lens died at only about 3 years old, but eh.....I'm lazy didn't feel like buying a new one. Now I'm content with emulating all my games. I've got enough Power and Hard Drive space on my comp that I back up all my PSX games and play em on the comp. Very handy little gadget they came up with isn't it?

 

Main reason is to marvel at the technological achievement, then of course the added extras (taking PSX games to a 'higher' level )

 

I play mainly final fantasty 9 because squaresoft havent made final fantasy 9 on the pc which i was very diserpionted about so I play with epsxe to make me feel I am playing the pv version

 

i emulate on PC for all the reasons you guys posted about already. except for the lens thing, i never even thought about that. graphics was probably my main reason for emulating. also, it gave me a reason to re-play all those PSX rpgs that i've been ignoring.

 

The main reasons ,for me was that the TV was always used by somebody other than me !

 

I don't have a PSX but both my borotheer and sister do. so I don't see the piont in buying system that is is many time crappyier than my PC whan all the game are already lying around the house somewhere.....

Same as most emus that I use.

 

Well I was over at my friends crummy apartment, And Didn't have my surge protector. less than a mile away the Power Lines got fried. And Aparently my PSX went with it. heh

Just need PS2 now. but the Epsxe works well enough

I got one so I could play FFs period. I bought myself FF9 without thinking to get a PSX!! The truth was, I had been given VGS for my birthday, but it didn't work well (at all).

damn man, with that luck you deserve a PS2

 

FF9 .. mainly .. but once I got the emulator I start looking for other games too

Simple...Better Graphics, no Cash......

5: Better Sound
6: Screenshots (I make maps etc)
7: TV is always in use (My sis)
8: Bigger screen (me got 19" monitor)
9: One neat little gadget!!

 

I like PSX games. But I don't like ugly pixelated graphics. Enhancements, speed, and great sound all figure in. Also, I'd rather not have to have a console cluttering up my desk space.

i rarely play epsxe more than 2 hours a week...
i just use it to see the better graphics, cuz when i play the games on the psx i always think 'hmm what would this look like with bilinear filtering'

 

The main reason is that I do not own an actual Playstation ...other than that, because I am an emulator freak, I guess !!
