What alt text?

 

when an image cannot be displayed, a Description of that image is displayed instead.

Does it really matter? Alt text was only really ever important for old browsers that couldn't display images.... so it's not really necessary anymore.

 

Well in this case it does, because Google's logo alt text, if the logo has changed for a certain event, explained the event. In this case I cannot seem to guess what that UFO signifies in relation to this time and place other than the obvious.

Ahhh thanks ShendoXT, that just helped me solve the mystery.

Now this is basec on my research, but essentially the term "unexplained phenomenon" is the top term searched using the Google search engine. That explains why Google have that doodle.

It's both. (or neither depending on how you look at it)

Those wacky rapscallions at Google HQ decided to check today's top search query. Lo and behold it's "unexplained phenomenon". To drive up further searches of this query, they threw together a UFO graphic...

...Yeah, that's all there is to this story.

LOL actually that reminds me, a friend of mine from highschool hacked one of the Google servers to say his name. It changed for about 3 seconds before it refreshed. After the **** he did rumors have it he got deported back to India :/
