4shared.com was ok. I was disappointed with Rapidshare and Megaupload, too. I don't have experience on those four best filehosters you listed.

Zshare is reliable if nothing else.

skydrive.live.com is the only service i'll upload to these days.. the others are just meh.

Google Pages xD

Always works, not blocked by any school firewalls afaik.

Stashbox exclusively, i suppose (other than that, hosting directly from my own web spaces)

to me, mediafire's toolbar is nothing but malware. same with the other scumms daring to force privacy-violating toolbars on everyone, under the guise of allocating more spots for them (you could just change your useragent for that, to 'emulate' the presence of a toolbar that is not present)

Well MegaUpload at least works once you download their forced toolbar....Rapidshare however always just gives that garbage about I am either already downloading a file or I have already reached my limit and must wait another few minutes...or if it does download then sometimes the session becomes invalid...and each failed attempt is taken off my cap as if it was a full download...

Why on earth would IE be my main browser (as far as I know that's the toolbars main browser?

Avant is my main browser (it IS IE7 based though XD). However I also have FireFox 3 Beta 4, Flock, SeaMonkey, Netscape, Maxthon (IE6 based), Maxthon2 (IE7 based), IE8 Beta 1 and Opera on my PC each does one or 2 things a little better than the next.

So I have no problem bloating IE as that's pretty much the only time when I use it.
