i'm sure this has been a thread before, but whatever, i voted for you. i use 1152x864 on my CRT and 1280x1024 on my LCD.

1600x1200 @ 85Hz at my apartment (19" crt)
1280x1024 @ 60Hz at my parents house (19" lcd)

personally i'd like to raise the resolution at both places, but i can't really do anything about the lcd, and the crt can't use 85Hz at higher resolutions =/

85hz at 1600, not bad! what kind of monitor do you have?

i think because he's making a website, and specific sizes don't matter. i'm surprised it's not less than 1024/1024/greater than. i guess he is just gauging what "regular" people are browsing on

And on that note, I can't wait until I go back to Glasgow and start using my LCD again. CRT sucks.

damn, i love CRT. well, i like LCD because it's easier on my eyes and it takes up a fraction of the space and you never have to mess with screen alignment, but that's about it. i like CRT because you can use any resolution and it will still look decent (damn pixel interpolation on LCDs), which is a pretty huge detail--the main reason i haven't installed my voodoo2 on my normal computer is that i'm running an LCD @ 1280x1024, and my voodoo2 runs best at 800x600 which will look like total ass on that monitor.
