Look through the Screenshots thread to get an idea. The problem with this question (other than the fact it gets asked at least once a week) is that no one really knows. The screenshots thread was created partly to help people figure this out for themselves.

In general:
- 2D and 2.5D games are the fastest running games. This includes games like Disgaea and LaPucell Tactics.
- FFX tends to run faster than most 3D games because the devs have a lot of love for it. It's the 'posterboy' for PCSX2.

 

Like barious said, the 2d games will run atleast double the speed of most the basic 3d games, try disgea and disgea 2, they both run on my ****ty comp round 25-40fps, depending on area's while ffx-2 runs maybe 19 MAX.

but if you want to really test what games will run at what, try res evil 4, as that game runs the slowest i believe on the emu, and im not sure whats the "fastest" game, but it would be any of the 2d games as there mostly all the same.

 

From what i know time spliters 2 is the fastest game on pcsx2 with aa 4x and bilinear filtering on , on a E6600 it runs at a wooping 300FPS , it's a greate game

 

Nah, my hunch goes to Capcom Fighting Evolution. 3Ghz P4 with a 9550 runs it at full speed.

but there r thousand of titels for the ps2... and 4 sure - nobody here own all thoose games and can tell u which games r the fastest.
