What I really hate about cartridge based console emulation is that just about everyone who uses them gets the ROMs illegaly because they're not as easy to get onto the computer as PSX CDs are, for example. How many people who use an N64 emulator actually:
1.) Own an N64
2.) Own an N64 and the game(s) that they're playing
3.) Own an N64 or the game(s) that they're playing

Well, I also don't like the N64 too much either If it had been released about 4 or 5 years earlier then it would have been fine, but it definitely couldn't compete with the PlayStation at all.

 

I do, but I have little to no interest in N64 gaming. Heck, I liked one game I've played on that thing. You do have a point though.

 

I own all the games I've d/l ded, and an N64. In fact there are 2 in my house, as my baka brotheer decided to buy another on (admittedly it was only £30, but...)
