ever seen the northern lights?? no i don't mean the dope called "northern lights" i mean the real thing... no? at least you can see them in unreal *gg* also take a closer look at the sky you may see a little grey object... this is a satelite or something... dunno exactly why it's there but i saw it in other levels too flying around... pretty weird

 

this level is called slaughterhouse and it really is one... everywhere spikes with flesh one them and stuff like that.... also a nice neon advertisment

 

now this is a real entrance the pre-last shot for now... if you beg for more maybe i'll upload some more tomorrow..

 

that satellite must the camera recording the tournament.
otherwise how all the people would watch it?

I wasn't talking to you. But still, you have to admit judging from the DOOM 3 shots and gameplay movies parading on the net lately, the new Doom gfx engine kicks Unreal II gfx engine's @ss.

Still, Unreal II's engine looks mighty impressive.

And here I thought the Xbox had kick-@ss gfx.

 

Unreal 2 is a less intensiive engine than Doom 3. Doom 3 is more of an engine showcase than a game, if the Quake's are anything to go by.
However, from what is being said, Doom3 will be a good game generally.

By the time DOOM 3 comes out, I'll be retiring my GeForce4 and get the new NV30.

 

My only complaint about the UT2003 demo is that it has a predefined language set to the one of your OS.

jegHegy says it runs fine on his friend's comp (Celeron 650, GF2MX). Should run fine on yours just fine I think, pare. Your RAM should be okay for the game too.

 

i bought the german version (with the english bloodpatch)
and i was only able to install the german version... *lol* you know what's funny... the installation takes up 2.5 Gb *lol* with the next shots i'm gonna show some more bot action....

 

You should be thankful it only took up 2.5GB. And that's not funny. Epic said before the game went Gold that UT2003 was going to be 3GB when you installed it.

Ah, yeah. Seeing those textures makes sense. It's 3Cds, no?

 

yep 3 cd's full with amazing levels, amazingly detailed textures, 51 (!) predefined characters to choose from and a lot of other stuff.... wow i really can't wait to see what great mod's are going to be released for this game....

 

Anyone been able to play UT2003 (full gfx details maxed out) on a GF Ti4600 and 1.0ghz Athlon and still get 60fps?

 

should be passible at 800x600 i think...

 

Including the cache that the game uses when playing, it DOES have the potential to take 3GB.

The optional tools can also take up more space if they are installed.

Will a P4 2.4 w/ 512MB DDR333 RAM and a puny little 32MB GeForce2 MX run it at a decent rate?

 

i run it at a tnt2 32mb with a very good speed, but it looks like crap . nowhere even near these shots.

Got the full version and tested it on my cousin's P3 1GHz/256MB RAM/Inno3D GeForce2 MX400 32MB. It ran pretty sweet at 800x600 16-bit. Haven't tested it on 32-bit yet, though.
