Re: ^-^

Hmm this thread just mutated, anyhow, no spam, but given 'special' circumstances (eg speaking with Skye) I'll let you off with a slap on the wrist, now lets make this thread constructive, does he snore :p

Re: ^-^

Sorry. I haven't been here in awhile. Still a trouble maker... =\

Anywho yes. I am glad someone remembers. ::feels special::

How is everyone? I am fine. Actually I am much better then when I first came here. ^-^

Got it. No spam. Sorry. ::feels loser-ish and slaps self::

Re: ^-^

Ok guys... i know ive said this countless times, and i will continue saying it. I think it would be more suitable to write some kind of script so that when members are idle for too much time from the forums, a welcome back message appears automatically when someone gets back. Maybe a PM could be send to his buddy list. But please... no more welcome(back) threads :/

Aw well... whatever... welcome back someone i dont know

Ive suggsted that countless times but no one pays attention to me :(

Re: ^-^

Okay, I have stickied this thread, this forum constantly gets "I am leaving", or "Hi I'm back!" threads, that cause clutter, so if your comming back, or leaving post it in here (keep it short though).

So welcome back! Or sorry to see you go :p :D

oh, you should have left the thread name as being ^-^ so that people would have been able to... uh... not know what the hell it was about.

personally i hate the "i am leaving" threads, makes think less of the person, his repect is down to 0 in my book.

i really do feel that this is spam, but hey... if we keep tolerating this, it's only going to get worse.

*if you are going to leave, leave, don't say you're going to... cuz i think people can find out for themselves; if you come back, hello

*who else thinks ngemu needs to clean up and remove users that has been idle for more than a year?

well...sometimes when people that are important leave, everyone is like "hey what the crap happened to >insert name<". so in those cases its best that they give us an idea of what happened beforehand.

Not everyone uses IRC / MSN etc, and apart from posting again on the forums, it is perhaps 'nice' to be able to say hello, what you have been upto, these threads don't last long once the hellos are done, so to cut down on # of threads, I put it into this.

Goodbye threads, frankly wether or not you respect that person anymore, frankly doesn't count, they don't need / ow anyone respect (yours or anyone elses). If a person that is important to the community leaves, such as admins / emu-authors etc it is nice to say goodbye, and those members that are popular, well known etc often do and deserve to say goodbye and why. If a person simply vanished from the forums, people tend to get concerned.

I admit if a complete n00b makes a goodbye thread, it's bloody annoying, hence if they do it in this thread, it keeps the annoyence in one place. Also if someone leaves saying "OMG LOL WTF NGEMU SuX, ME TEH AOL LAM0R", then it will be closed / deleted, or atleast occur in this thread, making it less of a blot in the forums.

I just come and go as I like. If I need something from this place I come back. When I drop by I search around some place and maybe reply to a post or two.

Ngemu is like a petrol station for me.
