Is there also an english version of SRW MX? The good thing of Super robot wars alpha (among the various SRW) is that it is also in english, which simplifies a lot the game.

Haven't seen one.. But the Menus and Battlemenus/stats are exactly the same as Alpha so if you played that, it's ok!:thumb:

Sorry for being dumb, what do you mean by in game save game? What I did was I copy that file and replace my memory card file then I load it, there's only one saved game to that rught? it was on the start of episode 15. I also tried to load my save states but it was my saved states that I am seeing.Hi,

But, as you know you got to options in the startmenu: load and continue! Load loads you're "between-the-missions" save and continue loads you're "in-mission" saves...

I do have another problem, with this eva again in episode 46, please have my saved file jump in the mission itself because I was stuck after the conversation. Please use the second file in the memory card.

I've been trying to play this game for quite a while now. I've tried many emulators.
ePSXe 1.5.2, doesn't start.
ePSXe 1.6.0, freezes on battle alert, animation continues, no text
AdriPSX has the same freezing problem.

Anyone with any solution?

 

Calb needs peoples save states to fix this bug.

Other people seem able to proceed through the missions, at least as far as the EVA part. All i'm asking is how they even got that far.

 

You're saying that your game won't work at all...?

Hm. Well, when I first got around to playing the game on an emulator (The actual game my brother had purchased from Japan doesn't work nowadays, it's a shame) I too had some problems, however they were only because of some PEC code screwing the game up. Otherwise it worked just fine.

(And please don't start going on about hating cheating, I've already beaten this game once, but that was years ago. Now I just would like to steer clear through the game while having fun)

But to the actual point, mission sixteen keeps screwing up on me as well. So I would really like it if someone would make an in-mission save after the cut-scene of EVA-01 going up in the elevator.

Also, one thing that was a tad odd when compared to my earlier tries of solving this cut-scene dilemma, I now actually hear something else besides the BGM. For example, in the opening video I used to hear nothing, now I hear the music. Furthermore, now I realized that at times the characters talk (they do, right? Other than with Shinji whining about things in mission 16, that is). The problem is, when they talk the sound is very static and messed up. This also goes to the sound effects when in dialogue parts, with the explosion sounds and sirens, it is all static.

I would like some help, and please do tell if I need to post the settings of the sound, or any of the kind.

 

It works up until a point. I can get as far as after the first mission in the Tasaku/Leona path, but it freezes during the conversation between Kouji and the protagonist before the first mission on every other route. Then, it freezes. Eyes blink, but no one is at home.

 

I had a similar problem before, in mission ten or so. I was skipping through the conversation with the start-button. Then exactly that happened, eyes blink, no one says anything, no proceeding whatsoever. Later on, I found out that when that happened, it was supposed to have the screen shaking and such to indicate that an explosion happened in the game.

I didn't "skip" through the conversation, and it worked just fine, game proceeded and all. No idea what caused the problem, but I haven't really skipped through any of the conversations after that...

 

whoaaaa.. thank you for your bypass ^^ its relly works, i've got my srwa hang in scenario 20, 47, and 60 when the girl of macrosss is singing, gosh i have hard time of it...

and today the game was ended ^^

i have some tips :

1. try to not use sound, mute all sound in hang game.. ( coz i thing sound its make the game not working properly)

2. use ure insting when u use bypass (thank you ^^)i give some example, like when the girl of macross is start singing, before singing, cahange your ISO to by pass... and if not works, try.... and try... ^^

anyone code cheats for srwa?? i tried many times but, none of that code is working??? can u help me???

 

YmmoT: With bypassing, do you mean the method Mookster provided earlier on in this topic?

Also, if you use an emulator, there is a program called [pec] which stands for PSX Emulation Cheater. The program provides some codes by itself, but I prefer searching the codes from the internet myself.

I have a intermission save to begin mission 19. After the title screen disappears, epsxe crashes with some error. I tried SSSPSX and VGS, but they either crash or simply don't work. Can someone make a in mission save? Thank you.

Having similar issues right before episode 33, right after Macross is ported into pluto. Grover says what, then convo just stops. Eye blinking and music ensues.

Just use ePSXe 1.7.0, as it's now fixed

 

espxe: I can somewhat play it, but the game locks up on the Super Robot route at the start of the EVA mission (level 15).

FIX that worked for me:

I use a macbook PCSX-R and stage 15 was also a problem since I was using a semi-translated version (ENG)

I downloaded the original japanese version of the game and used it.

1) Converted it to .bin from .ecm
2) Loaded as ISO
3) The movie (EVA) played through (IMPORTANT)
4) Saved game state
5) used ENG version again

in any case i got the JPN version here:

I know it's better to play your own game than ask for another's save file.

Yep so am writing this for people who are struggling with playing the game. So it's pretty silly first you need to use epsxe and as for Bio well am a 100% everyone is using a "US or EU" Bio well..... change that to Japanese bio and your done........yep.......If you think about it your playing a SRW game and a English version never came out until V and your trying to play a SRW with a English Bio..........ya I felt stupid when it's pretty simple to fix there is nothing wrong with the sound just the bio.......ill let all of you think about it and face palm your face.
