People that have XP Home can run VM build fine, the problem must be elsewhere.

 

Like Zero said it should be a other problem than the emu becose I have WinHomeSp2 and it works just fine


Try to run some update's maby that helps

 

Thanks for the help, zerofrog and Balthazard. I had solved the problem, apparently I had disabled User Privilege Service when I was doing some tweakings. After I started the service, the VM build just worked fine.

Where do u find that setting, I think that might be why it's not working for me either.

 

Are you using Windows XP Home SP2 ?
The service that I mentioned in the previous post can be found in Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Services.
It's called User Priviledge Service. I hope this can help you.

 

nah that wasn't it for me. I'm running Win XP Pro SP1. Somehow I feel updating to SP2 would fix it but I rather run SP1, should be working on SP1 too, just gotta find which particular setting it has to do with.

I'm not getting same error either, in my case it seems PCSX2 thinks I have no RAM available when running in VM version. Would prolly work if I just disabled this particular warning.

What's more weird is that it seems to work the 1st time I run it after I install/extract PCSX2 files. After that it won't work.

I downloaded 0.9.1 and used the installer. I have the same problem.

I use WinXP SP2 and I'm using the admin account.

Not all Windows XP versions have it. Or at least not listed under same service name in services.msc

 

well i sort of got aroudn the problem, the 22 rec thing that was checked i think caused it, i unclicked it and it ran but it seems as though it was much slower than .9 :/ but it worked i think i will test more later.

What kinda cpu you have, running the recompilers without SSE2 support might be very buggy.

It possible to manually aloc Virtual Memory? I think it is, but I don't understand how PCSX2 handles this memory stuff.

I think that, maybe, if we free enough VM, it will not need to aloc more.

youll find "lock pages in memory" with your username beside them

 

yes in "lock pages in Memory" are My username, Administator and BUILTIN. What can I do now?

 

the eerec option i believe said it only needed sse and mmx so i should be able to turn it on but i am not sure, o well, as logn as it runs i am ok with it, i will tinker with it when i have more time.

 

Well, if you have Windows XP Professional, it would be easier to solve the problem than in my case. Just follow the refraction guidelines and I think you should be okay.
