Hi all.
I'm going to buy a new computer, and i want to know if it can run pcsx2 at full speed in all games. (i don't use pc for play but when i do it i want to play at full speed).
Spec:
-Asus P5K Delux;
-Intel Q9300;
-Nvidia 8800GTS/9800GTS.
-3-4GB RAM DDR2 around 800MHz.

I've see the "performance topic" but i want to be sure of it before buy.
Thanks.

Last question,final fantasy (any version) run fine or have mistakes?

Ps: sorry for bad english.

Only full speed on certain games,
check the screenshot thread.
I think 9300 has low multiplier, so you cannot really OC it to something really high.
You still can OC it, but I wouldn't expect too much though.

Err 4GHz with Q9300, dream on, only some lucky enthusiast overclockers with voltmodded motherboards might reach that. The problem with Q9300 is the low multiplier, 7.5x, for 4.0GHz you'll have to reach 533 FSB, good luck with that with a quad core when even dual cores would be hard to reach such FSB stable and quad cores overall doesn't reach as high fsb as with dual cores. The normal "max" on air overclock for Q9300 is more like 3.4 - 3.7GHz. Doesn't matter what cooling you have for the CPU you'll still never reach 4.0GHz most likely, your motherboard will always start limiting first when overclocking a Q9300.

FFX with the correct plugins can be played almost perfectly,and if you've own a powerful machine it can look better than the original PS2 :)

Better if you choose an e8400 that can hit 4GHz fairly easy 'cause PCSX2 only uses 2 cores so the extra cores of that Q9300 will be meaningless on this emu.

Yes sory...i'm stupid:lol:I've see this :lol: that image was under a "9300" so i've confused the processor :lol:,sorry. But is better a 9300 or a 6600 for overclock?
Unfortunately i can't buy a dual core becouse i don't use the pc for play a lot,i use it for "work", i use application that are optimized for quad-core so i need it. :drool: (but i haven't a lot of money for it so i can't buy an "extreme" series or other expensive processor:???:)
In alternative if it don't cost a lot in Europe i would like to buy a 9450.
