i downloaded this utility off this page but i noticed it is labeled "5.05.47.00_ntune_winxp_international.exe" in the download popup i got from the "primary download site" link. is this some kind of **** up on their part or would installing this international version not make a difference on my system? it has in the main download area there links to the international versions but it is in a separate section on that page from where i clicked to get my download, as you can see.

the only difference between international and standard is international might have some extra languages in.

but from what i can tell, they only have the international version, there is no localized version of ntune.

i dont think im going to try it anyway, i installed it and whenever i try to use the control panel from the icon it makes in the windows control panel, my computer completly locks up and i have to shut it off by holding down the power-on/off button. so ive uninstalled it for now. ive read about other people are having this happen too on several other forums and they dont know why it does it but they are pretty sure it has something to do with this ntune utility. its not a utility i need to have anyway so its no real loss for me. thanks for the input though.

nvidia ntune "international" is fine. like refraction says it only has more languages when you install it, but just choose english obvi. your computer may be locking up because your nforce drivers are outdated, since some of the overclocking features of ntune deal with your mobo. or your vid drivers are outdated.

im using the latest forceware drivers that alienware has for my system, 94.23. i actually just installed those yesterday, the ones i had before were 84.74. i cant update to the latest, 163. 75 or something, i think. those are apparently for the desktop versions of their cards, not the mobile. your probably right about the reason its locking up, but there isnt much i can do about i guess.
