Hi, I have a problem with quite a few games in ePSXe,
I don't get any sound on conversations!
All other sounds work perfectly!

Here's my comps specs:

CPU: Amd Athlon XP X2 3600+
Ram: 2x 1GB 533 mhz
VC: Ati Radeon X800GT 256 mb PCI-E
Sound: AC97 :rotflmao:
OS: Windows XP x64

And here's the emu plugins and settings:

Emu: ePSXe 1.6.0

SP: P.E.Op.S. DSound Audio Driver 1.9

VP settings:

- Internal X resolution: 1
- Internal Y resolution: 2
- Keep psx aspect ratio: off
- No render-to-texture: on

- Filtering: 0
- Hi-Res textures: 1
- TexWin pixel shader: off
- VRam size: 256 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: 50.0

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 1

- Mdec filter: on
- Screen filtering: on
- Shader effects: 0/1
- Flicker-fix border size: 0
- GF4/XP crash fix: off

And the SP settings:

Enable Sound (Select to enable ADPCM sound)

Mode: 1: High compability mode

Volume: 1: Medium

Reverb: 1: Simple reverb (fakes the most common effects)

Interpolation: 2: Gaussian interpolation (good quality)

Enable XA playing

Change XA speed, if it is played too fast (more cpu power needed)

use eternal spu 1.41 and set it up like this:

have the top 3 out of the 4 boxes ticked in the spu selection menu, and in the spu config:

audio device- directsound
buffer size- 64
audio-out method- thread
all 3 special game fixes enabled
"wait for XA buffer is free" enabled under the "misc" section
neill's reverb
