It looks like Sonicadvance1's r507 changes helped ATI cards in OGL a bit.

WinXP 32-bit Radeon HD 2400

Before his code revision in r505

And after in r525

It may not look like much to some, but I think it did help. Obviously it's not perfect or ready to be played, but he is on the right track I think.

Eh.... looks much worse IMO.

Introducing a ton of missing geometry. :p

I tried to reproduce my own results where the textures actually worked and it seems to be kinda strange and based on memory or the code cache. It seems once I load Zelda TP on a fresh reboot it will work and look as it does in the second pic, but after the cache is cleared, it goes back to the rainbow textures, then I would have to reboot the PC for it to ever show the textures again. Odd. I think not clearing the cache and allowing it to stay in the system memory helps somehow.

If I reboot my PC and load TP, the textures work, but if I then kill dolphin and reload TP again, the textures do not show. I was saying that the cache being cleared as the game goes on might stop the textures from working.

Try to reproduce the title screen with textures 2 times, kill dolphin, and try it again. Otherwise, it might just be a problem I'm having.

I don't think you're understanding what I'm saying, maybe one of the devs will if they respond. Basically, I can only get the textures to work one time on one dolphin load, any other time I load dolphin the rainbows appear. I would have to reboot my PC (which clears all system memory) and then boot dolphin and the textures work.

The 2nd one was when I meant it was working, but it is not officially working, it's just a sign of life that it can work and is better than the first pic.

Nevermind anyway, forget my problem, the thread still shows textures are working somewhat and it is due to a code change that was made.

Yeah, or when one of the ati DLLs for x64 runtime might have a bug in it :p
And so we have to work around bugs in THEIR software. Its funny how us developers have to do things.

Wonderful, and then people like -Shockwave- expect perfection, and thats flawed EVEN when the drivers themselves have bugs....

Some people really amaze me in thier stupidity.

The textures issue could be the memory handler extension not cleaning up the vram properly.

Listen ****er, I'm tired of your bull****. I never said I expect anything, I said the devs are doing fine and it was an improvement, now you're just being an ass at every post I make. This ****ing guy needs to burn in hell.

I don't ****ing care, asshat. You are being the one being defensive with ATI's buggy **** and then expecting perfection with it.

Did you read this thread at all? Did you not see me defending the devs with cooliscool? He was the one you need to ***** at for being negative when I was doing nothing but being happy and positive over what I saw as progress. I even stated that the devs were doing a fine job having to work with crappy ATI ogl, did you read that? No, you didn't cause you're looking to cause trouble with me for nothing, again.

Stop crapping up another thread before you find yourself out on your ass.

I lol'd at the previous posts.

Ok I switched the code to "GL_TEXTURE_RECTANGLE_EXT" and the "rainbowed texuring" is back, now to fix that...I'll try :p

It's unbelievable, I have a guy online stalking my every movement and his name is mudlord. He loves to follow me around causing trouble for no reason because he has mental problems.

Is there anyone on this site that can control this psycho?

You got a lot of nerve coming to this thread and ****ting it up and making it seem like I expect something from you or the devs when I was clearly happy about what I saw, any normal person can see that by reading the thread. You just need to seek some professional help to take care of your problems and you will be fine.
