Well, it WILL spoil a bit of the surprise for people who haven't watched the Jap film and are planning to do so.

I found the Jap film "scarier" in the sense that it didn't rely on heavy FX to produce the scare. The Jap was more situational, more lifelike in a sense, as if it could REALLY happen to you.

But that's just me.
