...hot on the heels of the latest XOR files release of Mars Matrix (!) comes Nebula 2.22a, with some other nice fixes and changes, too :)

...here is the list of changes, according to ElSemi:

CPS2

Fixed wrong flash frames in MvsC.

Fixed some Dimahoo cheats not working (from
the latest Mike_Haggar cheat collection file)

Fixed games crashing on 32 bit desktop

CPS1

Fixed "Step Frame" button in the shots factory

Fixed Mega Twins music speed.

Fixed missing sprites in Forgotten Worlds

Fixed games crashing on 32 bit desktop

NEOGEO

Fixed "Step Frame" button in the shots factory

GENERAL

Added a Winamp jukebox option. Be careful as it's a
bit different than how Kawaks works. You'll need to create
a music mapping table (check the sample .TRK file in
TRACKLST directory) and nebula will replace the
sound codes you indicate by the mp3/cd track/ogg/wav/...
you specify in that file. You must have winamp running
before loading a game that you created track lists for.
The option to enable/disable it is in the Sound menu.
It only works with Winamp 2.x.

Improved the video plugin interface to support rendering
plugins.

Added a preliminary graphics renderer based in Direct3D. I highly
recommend using it if you want to run in 32 bit desktop
or play rotated games (19xx,dimahoo) as it is a lot
faster than the Hardware Blit one in these cases.
Also it has some projection features and any bright
scanlines. Scanlines doesn't work well with rotated
games.
You'll need a video card with the following features:
- non square textures
- non power of 2 textures
- textures bigger than 256x256 pixels (sorry, no voodoo)

....as always, you can visit the
official site ,and get it :)

...LOL !! :D ...c'mon, Shiori !! ...tricky-to-configure-macros aside, Nebula is still a fine emu. Beat'em ups like KoF can still be very fun to play, even without using macros (or so it seems to me).

Any of you other Nebula users who are reading this, can you please attach a sample macro file for a beat'em up (preferably KoF2XXX) for Shiori ? (if you have one)

There's no chance in hell for me to pull off those SDMs on a keyboard. :(

...that's the main reason I've -never- played a single game in kaillera ...I only play vs-mode side-by-side with people, so that I can keep them "in check" :D

While I've never had any need for macros, (I've been practicing in the art of "keboard-moves", since the days of SFLIU) I can perfectly understand some people's frustration with the demanding controls of beat'em ups in general, so I think its completely acceptable if they use macros in single-player mode... :)
