Live for speed (LFS) is a racing sim that's still under development, but already very promising. I'll give a short discription but more info can be found at www.bhmotorsports.com. Unlike what the name might suggest, LFS is NOT like Need For Speed, in fact, it's quite the opposite. This is a sim and not a racer where helicopters drop smoking barrels on beatiful cars driving through exotic locations.
This means that at first sight this game might look a bit more dull, but believe me, it's not! The car handling in this game is great; it's IMO always hard to judge how realistic a game is but at least I'm sure it's more realistic than NFS (in case you didnt notice yet: I'm, after playing it for a good bit, slightly dissapointed in the latest NFS)
.
Anyways, back to Live for Speed:
as the game is still in development, the current releases are demo tests. However, they still have quite a lot to offer. The graphics in the demo versions are already quite good but there's still room for improvement (and I'm pretty sure this will happen).
Unlike previous versions the latest releases support keyboard as well (hi sights
) allthough I'd highly recommend an analog controller for this (looks better too in the replays).
On to the car skins: editing is pretty easy with photoshop or psp (guide can be found at bhmotorsports) so I decided to slap a nice pic on the otherwise pretty blank car. The car skin used in the following 2 screenshots is dedicated to a certain admin around here
