Well today, I've just ordered up some US$. I'm finally getting to do one of my abitions. Bizarre though it is I've always wanted to go on a road trip with my mates. For the month of September, I'm finally getting to do it. :D. I'm touring around most of the east side of US/Canada. Going from Chicago to NYC via Montreal :D

This got me wondering, What's your wierdest ambition in life :p.?

BTW I still have one more, and that's to drive over the golden gate bridge... some of you probably do that every day :D.

I want...to conquer the world. Other than that, the only strange ambition I can think of having is being a contestant on a reality TV show and acting in the most completely absurd, idiotic fashion and win - then make fun of reality TV on all the interviews I have for the next couple weeks.

BTW - sounds like a fun trip. Although if you want to get weird, you could always go to Colorado and head to South Park. :p

Sounds interesting Betamax, nice to see that you are going to fulfill your dream/ambition.

My ambition ? Either watching live lesbian pr0n or the Olsen Twins or working at a really high position at Sega... any of the two will do, I'm just a guy with simple ambitions.

My ambition is to become a great programmer :)
Hopefully I'll be able to get a high ranking job in Mircosoft.

I know that this may sound cheesy, but currently I've only one big dream. I want to see the world becoming a better place, through technological advances.
Well, I don't know if I really want to see the better world, but I do want to see the technologies :D
Molecular Nanotechnology, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, cryonics (I mean reviving frozen people), mind uploading... all these things are in my dreams...

Other than that, I just want a girl, a car, a gun and a house with cable TV :)

BTW, good to see that you're fulfilling one of your dreams, Beta. Sounds like fun ;)
Now, if you want to live in danger you should come to Brazil for a trip. And your money will be worth much more :p

I have no weird ambitions.

All I want is to have a nice house with a lot of ground (mucho greeno) around it with high fences/walls, isolating the house from any crap I don't want to hear or see. I want to be able to do whatever I want, whenever I want. I want to make sure my parents get what they deserve for taking care of me the way they did.

This requires a lot of money, and so, my main ambition is to get rich.

Another ambition of mine is to finally fall in love for once. Previous relationships were based on other.. needs. I don't want any kids, they limit your free time and possibilities.

Well you'd have been interested in this years special summer lecture series (in memory of Sir David Bates, hosted here in Queens). It was led by Prof Peter Knight, one of the leading experts in Quantum Computing. Damn interesting :p.

BTW IIRC I think ICPEAC is in Sau Paulo (sp?) next year, so I'll probably be made to go there (damn :p ).

It's "São Paulo" ("Saint Paul") :p

Anyway, I thought that ICPEAC 2005 would be held in Argentina. Seems like I'm misinformed :)

BTW, I live in Rio de Janeiro, which is ~400km away from São Paulo.

Well... I guess that I'm one of the many evil dictators in the of "trying to conquer the world" queue :p.... not!

In fact my dream is similar to Boltzmann, extendending my lifespan ~300 years more so that i can see the gigantic upcoming technological revolution... :)

hmm... thats a nice dream, and dont say its weird cause of the olsen twins' age, theyre older than me anyways :p on a less sleezy side, i kinda wanna go on a luxury train tour across canada, you know, see the prairies and the rocky mountains, as well as some interesting cities such as vancouver, i dont even know if there are these types of courses for the trains but maybe one day ;) would also be nice to have some sexy girls at my side as well ... or maybe on one of those carnival cruises, i saw some documentaries on those ships they build and they look like a lot of fun

Right now I would like to simply finish school and get a nice job. Then maybe dreams of traveling the world will come :)

I wanna live out in the country far from cities and stuff, where I could just fish all day and enjoy nature and maybe win a few millions on lottery so I wont have to worry about anything like money and stuff ever again. Just enjoy life.
