I am currently playing Koudelka. There's lagging in some area of the game (dialog?), but otherwise running just fine. Since i'm new and not very familiar with the emu, just wondering if there's any special fix / combination of plugin for running this game....

Hi!
I am having exactly the same problem.. but everything else runs fine so far (middle (?) disc 2). It is a great game, isnt it??
Anyway, if someone knows a fix I would really like to hear it.. I tried quite a few things, different plugins, settings, closed all other apps, etc.. but still, only during the dialogs (in-game graphic) the sound is stuttering and you cant hear anything several times a second.
Cheers..

if you have got the game, just skip through the videos at the start (or watch them). directly after the first fight, talk to the guy sitting next to the wall, that will be one of the problematic scenes (it is only like 5 minutes into the game).
if you still want a savestate, i will gladly send you one (in that case, plz leave your address).

Hi pEtErK, can u just post ur savestate here, for Mr Xeven? I can't access my PC now, becoz it's at home. Save it in the middle of the dialog.

Hopefully, Mr Xeven can find out what the prob is, and release some fix.

btw, it's a great emu :thumb:

you'll have xeven's mail on the readme that came with psxeven, or you can click the button labelled "email" at the bottom of his post.

mail sent.. thx for the tip with the readme.. never thought about it myself.
(dont want to post it here, not to use too much bandwith of the server..)
lets hope everything works, and thanks to xeven in advance for looking into this!!

just finished the game.. for everyone who wants to play this:

use psxeven for the normal game (with interpreted mode). especially the videos work well here and the normal gameplay (like equipping things and fighting) works good, too.

for the dialogs, use epsxe. they run pretty smoothly. also, you might get a better framerate with epsxe, so i used epsxe for travelling long distances and when wanting to do several fights in a short time (though seldomly epsxe hangs during fights).

to use both emulators, just make the memorycard-directories the same (i switch the psxeven one to point to the epsxe one). then save in one emu and load in the other (at save points). worked great..

good luck!!

I'm pretty sure the extreme breaking up of dialog and other sounds for that matter during these scenes was present in both emulators. Not sure, I steer clear of ePSXe ever since I found PSXeven.

The breaking up is so bad I can barely make out whats being said. Has anyone found the solution yet? It doesn't seem to matter what video/sound/cd plugin combo I use.

Thanks in advance,
Cobra

Not having enough spare HD space for an ISO to be left about, I tried downloading a few extra CD plugins. And now I've got it working fine. You have to use ePSXe though, as it seems that the same plugin and set up I used to get it working in ePSXe dosen't work for PSXeven... so no rumble for me that means, but oh well. This is what settings i used for others with the same prob.
