It has spyware and adware in it. Kazaa lite is better but it's still not hard for someone to send you trojan, virii, etc...

 

Kazaa lite? I don't know about it....
I faced some weird experiences some days ago... all the times I started Kazaa, and started a download, the pc stoped working.... but in some other times it worked perfectly... and there are some pop-ups that sometimes pop some times don't.

Yeah but WinMX will only work if you have files to trade...

My friends use Kazaa a lot and have been lucky enough to avoid any kind of virus. Anyway it's easy enough to identify viruses since they have a very small file size.

Kazaa has spyware. If you value your privacy. Kazaa is dangerous to use. I personally avoid Kazaa. Use Winmx, there's no spyware or any of that $hit in it.

It's not just viruses. There have been a few worms crawling around the Kazaa network.

well... kazaa lite gave me like 2 random pop ups before but, that was after like 10 days of using it so... i guess that's better than i had on the real kazaa... i suggest using this prog for searching since kazaa is just damn annoying

winmx... queues are horrible. if any anime downloaders are here, check out www.animefantasia.com as they're one of the most popular anime servers on winmx

mirc is another good program to us to get stuff but... a few problems... finding a good channel, finding a good person to download off, and waiting for queues... i hate those. however, it's probably the best place to get what you specifically want.

Just means that WinMX is popular just have to be patient, someone will come along with the file you need, no waiting.

 

I dont know but I tried WinMX but it wouldn't connect to the server. Maybe I didn't configure it properly or something. Anyways, I get my stuff from Kazaa Lite and Direct Connect.

Last time I checked animefantasia servers were down.

There's a compatibility issue with the new version of Winmx and their servers.

 

Esturk reccomends WinMX. You don't really need anything to trade if your stsrting out. I didn't have anything to trade when I started, as I downloaded stuff, I put it up to download. Now I'm trading stuff all the time!

 

You can kill the adware of Kazaa whit two tools, first use kazaacydoor to disable cydoor the ad (pops up) program and use adware later to search your hard disk and registry for cookies and adware files in your pc. Then you can use kazaa without spyware

I dont know..... I think Kazaa is ok. I did the thing that removes adware. But i use Direct Connect alot. If you have alot of files to share and you know how to use the program, its probably the best way to find files.

I've been using Kazaa for a time ago, but i realised that spyware problems, i searched for the lite version, but no sucess, anyway i just switched to ImesH, i used it when it was just released, i think i was the beta tester , but now there are lot of people and not many queues

 

I use regular old Kazaa and as stated by Kabuto before I used it with cydoor and then ran ad-aware. So far I have had no problems.

 

come on guys,kazaa lite???its still crap...i now run grokster,its practicel the same,even the interface,but at the beginning you can choose to not install the other stuff and still grokster runs perfect,i checked adaware ,not a single spyware(exept cydoor)and the great thing is.....now you can download from kazaa AND grokster users so this is way better!!!

Kazaa is the same as WinMX and Kazaa and WinMX are the same as LimeWire they are all the same thing so theres the same risk

actually winMX and Kazaa are completly different. in Kazaa you can dl the same file from more then one user. in WinMX you can only dl from one peson which in that point of view Kazaa is some sort better(faster downloads if alot of peeps has the same file)
