I have always liked MMORPG's because I am a RPG freak. But I havent found one with the right style. And FFXI is full of Squaresoft style and trademarks (chocobos, spells, the way characters look, music, etc..). It says on ebgames that release for ps2 is 3/04/03 but no release date for pc. :(

If only I could track down my post about how a typical FFXI session would be...The quality of an online RPG has nothing to do with the gilding of fancy special effects - it's about the community. Unless it's a game like Diablo, of course. :p

> Prolly around 90% of the people in this community love Final Fantasy and I would think they would like that game.

That isn't my point. Think about Final Fantasy's intended audience. Then envision that audience playing together. For a lot of players, that won't be a problem. But for a slew of others, it certainly will be.

What about the deals. I mean will it be coming alongwith a keyboard and mouse stuff?

I don't think ANY game is worth money after you buy it. Squaresoft is gonna loose lots of money if they release FFXI here in North America. I am one of the biggest Final Fantasy Freaks out there and I won't be buying it. And plus with an audience mostly full of fatass lazy kids with no jobs ... Who is gonna pay the fee? there mommies and daddies? I don't think so!

Um, FFXI PC JAP is about $10USD a month.
I don't know about US releases, but I think you NEED a GeForce-based card to play FFXI PC JAP. That's what they said over at PlayOnline, at least. The graphics, however, easily beats PS2 version. You have to pay more to play Terramaster, a card game that does something I don't know.

Razor you are being ignorant. I have a full-time job and I would pay for the game and the monthly fee's. In my point of view I see the game to be good in the long run. Dont stereotype this with the EQ players lol.
