On just the Bios menu alone, I only get at max 10 f/s, which is ridiculously slow, and that's after enabling my dual core processor, which before ran at 5 f/s.
Is this the norm or does it get faster?

System spec:
Intel Core Duo t2300 1.66 GHz, 667 Mhz FSB, 2 MB L2 Cache
ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 up to 512MB HyperMemory
2GB DDR2

i hope you are using GSDX9 on that graphisc card, ZeroGS will seriously bog you down

also make sure eeRec, VU1Rec and VU0Rec are ticked

Well, it is a laptop, with a T2000 series Core2Duo to boot.

According to most members reports, in order to get more than half the speed in all games, you need a Core2Duo desktop processor running at 3Ghz with a 8800GTS.

Ohh, those, those were pre-ticked

Once I got to gameplay, it slowed to 4.5 fps on Splinter Cell
Correct me if I'm wrong here but...isn't there a PC version for SC :p? Why on earth would you want to play it on the emulator with a laptop oO? Unless of course you just wanted to try it, if so, just ignore my post :thumb:.

I apologize for the generalization, it's because when people just say buy a Core2Duo and PCSX2 will run great most of them will buy laptops such as an T1080 and/or a Pentium Dual Core (E2100 or similar) and now expect PCSX2 to run full speed. I'm just trying to avoid giving false hopes to other people......

Also, I said.... All games...... ;)

I get some good fps

the ps2 browser is very fluid for me,

ffx and disgaea run 100+ , dragon quest viii is about 40-50
Maybe for Disgaea but I'm pretty sure you don't get any where near 100 fps in FFX in battle/fight...Sure they are moments where you can get over 100 fps in FFX but that doesn't happen every so often in battles. And I'm not quite sure if 3.15Ghz is enough to pump out 100 fps in cut-scene or even FMV.

Just nit picking that's all :D

In most of the game I test I have speed boost or no change but no low down except in bios.I don't know why but I have ~50% slow down in bios.In CPU standard settings,in SPU eve I disable the sound and with ZeroGS/GSdx9 the speed is same, but if I combine the new plugins with the old emu the speed is even better.

I download the new fixed version but I don't know why I have speed decrease(that's not a problem since the games are working without problems but still...)

First two are the new emu and the second two are the old emu with new plugins

Just played around with KH on 0.9.4 and wow, AAx16 makes the game look great! I'm hitting 80FPSish in the beginning area before the Islands. Damn, can't wait to give FFX a whirl! On topic, I'm having no FPS problems so far. Just that KH seems a wee bit broken then before, some graphic glitches I've seen so far. Oh, and it might be just the ISO I created, but does anyone else freeze up in KH when Sora is being sucked into the black pit near the beginning?

8x and 16x AA look identical in FFX...What other games take advantage of high AA?
