Since most of my gaming is going so slow, I want to overclock my CPU, unfortunately, I don't know exactly what to do. I also want to overclock my Radeon card, but I can't find a good fan for each of them. What fans and software do I need?
I totally agree Demigod. Although my current system is fast enough that I haven't felt the need yet (and I need a new motherboard anyway). Maybe when UT2 comes out...
On a clock-per-clock basis the Pentium 4 is slower than the Pentium 3 and the Athlon. The Athlon 1400 is as fast as a Pentium 4 1800. The Pentium 3 is as fast as an Athlon and the Tualatins can beat the Athlons at the same clock (due to their larger L2 cache). This is why Intel is limiting the Tualatin to Celerons. If this processor were to compete directly with the Pentium 4 no one would buy P4 systems.
Um... i thing u should update your Sisoft to the latest version because the last version of sisoft sandra series are not actuall and remember one thing that sisoft are using Synthetic Benchmark not Real Life Benchmark if u want to test your CPU on real life condition run 3DMark2k1 SE
On ATX motherboards there should be an override jumper that'll reset the BIOS settings (usually located close to the CMOS battery). Refer to your motherboard manual for more info.
