Am posting my question/query here because it's not entirely game specific but also half ePSXe related to.
I am currently playing Final Fantasy 9 on ePSXe 1.5.2 (the last version I remember it worked perfectly on). I like to cheat just so I can "speed run" the game to completion in the shortest time possible. I showed the game to my GF which got her interested. However, like most non-gamer girls, don't like the long winded games and random battles.
Currently am using HOOLIGANS FF9 UK patch. Apparently they've got built-in cheats such as:

In Battle: Infinite MP, ATB always full, 1 hit makes trance
Miscellaneous: Infinite gil, Infinite m. stones, Infinite item usage, No random battles
Beatrix: Have all abilities, Maximum exp, Maximum level, Maximum hp, Maximum mp, Maximum m. stones
(and seperate sections for the other playable characters, eg. Blank, Cinna, etc. following same cheats as Beatrix above)

Currently I am using "No random battles" which helps speeds the game up. However there's a draw back - the characters don't get to level up in experience as much. So why not use Maximum exp/level/hp? Well (if am correct - need someone to confirm) that won't help since some bosses can kill you in other ways (using magic/status effects).
Just wanting suggestions on speed-run the game.
