How to report a bug with a gs dump:
  • Go to a static scene in the game where not much is moving and the bug is visible.
  • Make sure it is not the spikey polygon syndrome.
  • Press SHIFT + F8.
  • In the snap folder of pcsx2 you will find a .gs file next to the .bmp.
  • Compress and upload them.
You can also replay the .gs file (it's only going to be two frames looping), run the following command:

rundll32 gsdx.dll,GSReplay <.gs file> (v1.5+)

or

rundll32 gsdx.dll,GSReplay <renderer index> <.gs file> (v1.7+)

Good for benchmarking too.

good job gabest :)

guys, in your opinion, is it normal that a game in 2 pc with similar configurations (the difference is gfx card 8800GT - x1950Pro) has an increase of +20fps? The pc with 8800GT has 45-50 fps for the game and the pc with x1950Pro has ~30fps.. is it fault of the directx version or of the real big difference of the 2 gfx card?

I have a problem with this plugin :/ It's not seen by the emulator in the plugin menu! When i open plugin in the console it says GSdx.dll : 126 ! Somebody know what's wrong ?

Closing gs thread

There is a real big difference between the cards, yes. Given the right game, a 8800GT in DX10 mode will easily outperform your X1950 like that.

Like Gabest mentioned before the FPS gap between DX10 and DX9 versions of GSDX is quite big at the moment in certain games. For instance. When i run Xenosaga I in DX9 i get about 20 FPS in the first ingame scene. With the DX10 renderer i get 40. It's a extreme example but maybe it helps.

I have a problem with any gsdx i try (excluding gsdx10, as i have WinXP). in MGS3, whenever the game goes into the codec screen, it crashes. this happens in the intro movie, and if i load a saved state which i made with zeroGS, it works, but when i go into the codec again, it crashes. Just pointing out a bug, hope it gets fixed soon! thanks, and merry Christmas.

xcdef just software render, alpha and logarythmic z.
still mgs3 is unplayable due falling under floor and death. next sticking to trees where there is no tree only grass. trees are little away. and you have to jump so it will unstick.
if only pcsx2 emu would be fixed with all those bugs so fast like gabest fixes gsdx.
emulate all opcodes and correctly handle floating point values.

Thanks now it works.

Edit 1: Would anyone know why Killzone or Tony Hawk's Underground won't boot up? I have tried building an iso and running them directly from the cd drive. Any thoughts? I don't really know where to put this because I don't know what the problem is.
