Hi,
at first sry for my english. I know it's really bad, and because of that it's too hard for me to search in the existing threads for a solve of my problem.

So, my problem is that my game "Gran Turismo 2" won't run. I can see the Intro but if there comes the menu screen, and I select "Start Game" it doesn't function. The screen is only black and says nothing.

system:
- AMD XP 1,8
- VIA KT 400
- 512 DDR
- GeForce 2 Pro
- Win XP
- ePSXe 1.5.2
- pete's_gpu_plugins_v1.65
- SCPH7502

Anyone an idea?

He doesn't speak english, so he finds it hard to search.

Use an older version of ePSXe. Use 1.5.1. It should work just fine, but remember to enable accurate CD-ROM timing.

thx Ninja, you're so right. So I've tried 1.5.1 and now the black screen comes earlier. I can see the first 2 screens, but now I can't select Start a Game.

Because of reducing of sources of errors, I've made an image of the CD, so I don't have to configurate any CD options - or it isn't so?

yeah, you don't have to use any CDR plugins if you run an ISO.

There is a kinda 'fix' in 1.5.2. All you need to do is press '2' (without the qutes) when the screen is black (where it seems to have frozen). Then it should start reading from the cd (or HD if you are playing from an ISO) and the game continues.

Oh, it seems nice, but nothing is change. Well, I've changed my Controller settings. What is '2' on your Controller?

you dont set 2 as anything. It's a 'feature' in the emu. If it doesn't work when you press it once, try pressing it multiple times.

Yeah that was the problem. I've set 2 as something in the controller setup. Now under "fast" preset in video settings it function - thx so much. But the graphic is really bad, so it would be nice if it works under a better resolution. Or does it not function?

Okay, the source of my problem are not the graphic options. It's only unstable. Sometimes I can play if I press 2 and sometimes not. I don't change anything. It's luck. And in the game, after a race, I can save the game, but then if i want to go to the next race it's only black screen. I hate this color
