You bet. some people don't like it's artistic direction, but it's high on my list

 

The only ones I've played extensively are 3, 7, 8, and 10. Could I safely compare it to any of them?

 

ff9 is more of a throwback to the pre-ff6 games which started having a sci-fi feel to them. id say its more like ff4. its not my favorite one but it is pretty good.

Why? the dialouge can be hilarious sometimes

 

i liked that chocobo mini game, much better than ff8's.

 

I disliked it though, but it's mainly because I am missing the futuristic settings I had in FF7, FF8, and even FF6. xD

 

Keep in mind I literally went from being a huge Star Wars fan to a huge Warcraft fan. The transition is easy for me

 

the chocobo mini game was great in ff9 but it was a little too addictive though. i played hot and cold for 4 hours strait trying to get the chocographs. christ i have an itch to play it again!!

btw have you beaten ozma?. i got vivi and zidane to level 99 with both ultimate weapons....and i accidently threw the game away!! so iv never beaten or heck, even seen ozma. im going to buy it again...

 

just have auto-pheonix and auto-haste down and buy 99 Pheonix down to beat ozma
turn boost on and summon bahamut so you can heat it every turn :]
Prepare as many status potions and resist-status stuff too.
You get mini most of the time, which is the hardest part against him, in my opinion.


Anyhoo, I got pretty addicted to the card game at the end XD.
Trained many of my card to the ultimate state LOL

 

meh i couldnt get into the card game...after i beat Regent Cid, i got rid of most of my cards..

What kind of system does it use? (Materia, Junctioning, etc)

 

It uses item equipment (armors and accessories)
you learn skills by equipping the items and earning AP's from battles, but every single character's skills are different from those of the others.

I really love the chocobo treasure hunt too

Garnet was good kinda meh....UNTIL you went into a battle..
the camera has a tendacy to zoom up on her when she has her back to you...and focuses on her spandex shod backside. i swore i could see a c******** one time XD

 

Madeen and Ark can kill anything in no time lol (esp with boost of a fraction of dmg every move lol)

 

i never got Ark....because ive never fought hades....i just auto reflected blizzaga off my own party....hits a perfect 9999 every time

 

One funny cheat to do after you've beaten everything and have started a new game is to make the skill stones, or what ever those are called, infinite xD, so that you can equip every passive skill you have lol

 

have you tried gettibg to Memoria in under twelve hours to get Stieners Ultimate Weapon? I tred it, but the the first black waltz kept killing me!

 

nope, my fastest record is 15 hr :x
You have to skip all the movies and dialogs, which is a pain.
Also, the consequence is that you'll end up with nothing but Excalibur @@", and the game doesn't inherit it to the next new game...

you mean have i? yeah but its not really that hard though, having status attack prevention abilities or equipment is what you should focus on before fighting it. its kinda stupid looking for a superboss, its just a big floating orb. i liked ff8's omega weapon, the only superboss that actually deserves the superboss title because without holy wars and such it was pretty much impossible to kill it.

 

Zidane was a pimp though.....for a while on the first disc he even hit on Freya

yeah jonc....i just never tried it. but the way i was leveled, i would have beaten him easily..
