I know that there are many posts on FF9 in this forum, but I have searched through many and I think that there is no post on this anywhere else....
I'm not having trouble loading FF9 into the main menu....as soon as I try to start a new game or load a game from a memcard, the screen goes blank and then loads the "published by squaresoft etc" and then leads me back to the main menu... can anyone help me please?
Obviously I'm using the NTSC version
I have a Voodoo Banshee card, PIII 450, 256mb ram
I'm using Pete's d3d 1.61
16 bit color depth
texture quality: r5 g5 b5 a1
texture filtering: 6: extended = smooth sprites
gfx card vram size: 0 (autodetect
smart texture garbage collection:enabled
faster palettized texture windows: enabled
use fps limit: enabled
use frame skipping: enabled
auto detect fps frame skipping limit: enabled
off screen drawing: 3: enhanced, shows more stuff
advanced blending: 0:none
framebuffer textures: 1:black-fast but no special effects
alpha multipass: enabled
mask bit: enabled
scanlines: disabled
unfiltered framebuffer updates: disabled
color dithering: enabled
screen smoothing: disabled
full vram primitives: disabled
g4 polygon cache is enabled(under special game fixes)
I had it working a few months ago, so I know that it can work.....
Please help... thanks
