I decided to download the psx emulator on a laptop since my computer is basically capoot. I'm playing Persona 2: Eternal Punishment on it, the game runs perfectly. But when i hold down the fast forward button which i'm use to doing on my desktop, it doesn't actually work on the Laptop, it just runs normally, i've tried changing keys for Fast Forward but it still doesn't work.

I can play with out it if i need to, i would just liked to get this figured out

is vsync enabled? the fast foward feature basically turns that off for you but its been awhile since ive used this emulator and i cant remember if you actually need to untick the vsync option in the config manually as well for it to work.

is vsync being forced onto all applications (overriding their own settings in other words) via your video card's control panel?

In the Catalyst Control Center, goto 3D -> All Settings and scroll down most of the way to where it says "Wait for vertical refresh" and make sure it doesn't say "Always On" (I use "On, unless application specifies" and never have any problems).
