Wow, my performance has gone up by a good amount in Sonic Adventure. Unfortunately thats the only game I have so it's all I can test.

Also, it seems like Dolhpin is actually using more than 2 cores. When I limited the affinity to two of my cores, my fps dropped, increasing it to 3 then to 4 increased my performance.

Nice release!

the only thing that isn't working right with this new build is my newest build of @ES but i guess i will have to check out the code to see whats causing the problem when i try to close the game through @ES.

anyways so far the emulator is working great and here is a screenshot:

vt vincent i know what you mean i had to upgrade my 7600 gs cuase that was lagging me down a lot in my pc games i recently picked up a gts250 but to bad its running at half speed becuase my pci-e 1.0 x16 slot is dead so im stuck using one of my pci-e 1.0 x8 sli slots for the new card. so im not sure how well my pc will handle dolphin and pcsx2 sence im running an older socket 939 motherbaord with a amd athlon 664 x2 3800+ at 2.2ghz with 1.75gig of ddr400 ram and windows xp pro sp3 32bit

Ah, sorry to hear that Lasnap. My computer is actually pretty well suited to higher end emulators - I'm running with a Core 2 Quad Q9300 and 8GB of DDR2. Right now, the video card is the only weak link. I don't really do any PC gaming and I'm incredibly cheap, so it's the one thing I skimped on. Now I'm regretting it.

Hmmm, anyone knows why Dolphin runs so slow now?
I used to get almost 60 frps with New Super Mario Bros and with the latest releases it's completely unplayable. I'm using the Direct 3D graphic plugin.

This has to be a bug or something because even downgrading the video quality I still get horrible speeds.

You really need to follow along the Google Codes.

Sorry, what do you mean?
Do I have to switch off any default options in Dolphin? I find very weird the games run the same speed in low res and high res (both graphic plugins run equal).

my nvidia geforce gts250 should be perfect for this emulator and for pcsx2 as well ocrret? if so then i wont need to spend money on a new graphcs card which means i should be able to pick up new guts for this pc at a cheaper price if i go with an i3 and mabe a new psu

Your GTS 250 is more than enough for PCSX2 and Dolphin, i have a GTS 250 and i get good framerate on both emulators including Dolphin (Wii), i can play Mario Kart Wii at full speed (or close to full speed) with my spec.

But not all games plays at full speed on both emulators, the drawback in my spec is my processor since is not overclocked, but once i overclock this i will get full speed on all the games.

In other words your GTS 250 is good enough, spend your money on another processor instead.

The GTS 250 hardly comes close to using the full bandwidth of the x16 slot. Even on a GTX 285 using an x8 slot only makes at most a 5% difference.

according to a couple of different programs my gpu clocks are less then half their rated value.core clock is at 300mhz out of 738. memory clcok is only at 100mhz out of 1100. and shaders is at 600 out of 1782. so how doe those numbers look to you?
