this looks like a very fun game. very good framerates unlike lost planet. theres a strange 2 minute loading screen before each level.

The game runs superbly on my modest machine.

This is the bench at 1360*768 @highest possible setting.

Very good for my mid-range card, I think.

Too bad that demo only let you play for 10 minutes before kicking you back to title, it's worth every minute, however.

The shots below were taken at 1360@768@AA4X and framerate stays at 60-90+ range. A masterpiece conversion, I must say.

Additionally, the game also supports X360 joypad (all buttons usable with rumble feedback); and it also sounds superbly on 5.1 set-up.

I have been waiting Forever for this one
starting downloading estimated time 158H:139 M;40 sec
nice .......i will just have to wait for the full release and buy it
but damn 10 minutes of playing and 1,2 gigs Jesus Tap dancing Christ
I wonder how much space the full version will bite off my poor HDD

and by the way what are the requirements , I really hope my rig can handle it

Guys the game is said to have DX10 even in the demo confirm please

The demo itself is 804MB, the benchmark is 483MB you can get em separately on other sites.

Not sure of the actual requirements, but runs fine on mide-lower end machines like mine.

Here's my setup:
AMD Athlon64 X2 4000+ @2.3Ghz Brisbane
2048MB DDR2 ram
GeForce 9600GT 512MB GDDR3 256bit stock clocks
DX9.0c
Max settings, vsync disabled, 4X MSAA 1024x768 screen res (monitor limitation :p)

hey Viper,

I just did the test and the results are interesting

core 2 duo @ 3.15 Ghz
9600gt - stock
2Gb of fast ram

I had all setings to the max allowed (16xQAF, max res etc)

DirectX9 = A rank (arond 70-120 fps usually, some 40-50 fps areas)
Directx10 = C rank (around 500-100 fps usually, some 30-50 fps areas)

from an A to a C in directX10

yikes, big difference!

cool, i want to try this game out.

i downloaded the PS3 demo a month ago, but this PC version looks better.

the game was started using PC engine, then work began for the PS3 and Xbox versions.
I'm sure the PC version allows better graphics with AA and stuff.
Wikipedia said:
In a Eurogamer interview, Kobayashi confirmed again that PS3 and Xbox 360 versions would be identical and said that the PC version "would be great, because the same team is working on both"

btw, anyone have a download link for the demo? :innocent:

game runs super smooth on dx9 mode for my pc at max everything 1920x1200. dx10 is full of artifacts for some reason dunno why.

Holy shiznit, what are developers finally learning to make optimized games?:p

This and Assassins Creed are super smooth. These run way better than a lot of visually inferior games at the same settings.

In games like Bioshock, Splinter Cell CT/DA and other visually inferior games run way slower and have poor performance. I'd be lucky to even break 5 - 6 FPS on the lowest settings.

Granted I had to turn the settings on low for these two games, they run way smoother/faster than the other games I mentioned @ the same settings.

DMC was running between 15 - 25 FPS on my crappy rig both in outdoor and indoor environments which is quite shocking for my specs:

AMD64 X 2 3800+, Geforce 6150LE, 1024 MB of DDR2 ram.

Why the **** didn't I ever get into the whole Devil May Cry saga? This game is extremely fun to play and fast paced.:D

Anyways it comes out retail here on July 9th so I'll definely be buying this if the final product runs as good as the demo. Note while it may be on low settings the game looks fantastic.

Btw, what the heck am I supposed to do in this spot?oO

:Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out

lol found out the dx10 glitches were from my drivers.

This is very impressive to see a game where the experience isn't cheapened from lazy porting. I am very interested to see how the frame rate keeps at the jungle level (360 went all slo-mo whenever a tree got in the way).

Kudos to the developers.

Just recently downloaded the demo for this game, looks to be a very solid port of the game and look forward to the full release! :D

I gave that trainer a try and it's working like it said it should. But I don't think it's worth it, really. There isn't that much meat to the demo either way, people should simply stick to finishing the demo level, which then leads to the bosses.

It's not worth mingling with trainers to unlock a timer and such. (especially since I'm not sure, does it count as illegal? I mean it unlocks something that isn't supposed to be locked, but it's a demo, free and all... Blah, not worth it)

NOD32 reported it
Probably a false positive, some trainers use hotkeysh@@k.dll which is detected as a trojan. The hotkeys dll is only to input keystrokes so you can press a key ingame to activate the trainer.

The dll isn't harmful nor is it malicious, however virus scanners can't tell a difference and report it as a W32 trojan or something else. The trainer does indeed work and does what it's supposed to.

This game is awesome from what I played of the demo, framerates don't drop that much. In the boss fight with the demon I was pulling off 9 - 15 FPS even during the most intense moments with settings on low. My Highest FPS were 25, lowest 9 - 10.

I don't have a decent PC either and only sport a Geforce 6150LE, so I imagine it runs much better on higher spec'd PC's.:)

It does indeed run much better than even a lot of visually inferior games especially some older games which surprised me.

Textures and lighting could be better but still looks like a good game.
