K2 in general has a great AI. I'm not talking about shooters only, I've played that game on elite mode and the enemies are so aggressive, they don't just stay on one place and waiting for your attacks, and sometimes they come to you to do melee attacks.Wait WHAT? Did we play the same game? It was a good AI but the original Fear already had better AI than K2 and that's from 2005.
K2 has good AI for a primarly console shooter but there are waaaaay better Shooter AI around.

I've played many FPS games too, that's why I liked Killzone 2 AI.
I have a statement.... Crysis engine............................... is awesome ! :evil:If anybody complains about CryEngine or Crysis graphics in this thread I'm gonna kick 'em in the nuts so bad they'll loose their fertility
Using a keyboard for FPS completely eliminates the skill factor.Hey, gamepad isn't fail, I have enjoyed playing Killzone 2 with it. Perfect for me![]()
Modern Warfare 2s aim assist just initially moves your pointer towards a target which makes it useless for moving targets. Killzone 2 doesn't seem to help at all. Neither Resistance 2.Most console games use auto-aim.
So much for the skill factor argument.
Plus why intentionally use an inferior controller that is more suited for basic 2-dimensional plane movement and not aiming? Even the Wiimote is a much better controller for FPSes.
^Most console games
The aim assist doesn't make an impact, to clarify things.^
Secondary clarification.
That's noobish.....pitting the blame on the mouse for your own ineptness at the game. It isn't too hard to have a kills to death ratio of >2 on the game. Plus it makes for much faster and skillful gameplay.Pointing and clicking also negatives any realism (regardless of how crappy the games attempt at it is) as your character magically can switch targets in 0.5 seconds, and considering you die in 2-3 shots in MW2 anyway........well......
I do clearly remember implying just now that the mouse makes it too easy to aim and switch targets.Wow great argument.
Now I'm gonna go one step further and say that even an analog controller is way too easy. If you really wanna go l33t, use the arrow keys on a keyboard or controller for aiming

No it doesn't. Cuz EVERYBODY's using a mouse, they'll be able to aim at you just as quick as you can aim at them.I do clearly remember implying just now that the mouse makes it too easy to aim and switch targets.
So if I didn't see a target crouching/hiding in my field of vision, the auto-aim system will automatically move the crosshairs to that target's location (nvm that it doesn't follow it) thus alerting me to his presence?Modern Warfare 2s aim assist just initially moves your pointer towards a target which makes it useless for moving targets.
The crosshair will only move slightly, only if the person was already in your crosshair to begin with, and only if they are within a certain distance, considered you are playing on a pc your resolution should be hd so there shouldn't be anything you "don't see" within the distance anyway.Orly?

In PC gaming, we call it an aimbot....and guys using it must be getting 200 mom insults per match....half the kills I make are by taking out targets far away from a concealed spot (which is almost always in their field of vision) or by sneaking up on their side and shotgun! Obviously both these tactics are completely useless if the damn auto-aim just alerts the enemy to my presence!
