YouTube - Crisis Core TGS Trailer Subbed

I don't really read these forums much, but I ran a search and couldn't find any dedicated threads on Crisis Core.

Now as for the discussion, what I find confusing is how you seem to play events that we know Cloud did experience for himself, but you're Zack. Why? NFI. And what I love about the trailer is there are lots of references to Zack being Clouds friend, and I can't wait to find out more of the story behind this.

Edit: Ok, I really have no idea how old this trailer is, but the first time I saw it was yesterday. So lets just discuss it anyways. =/

It's a couple of months old, but Square had the movie removed quiet quickly.

I think it's a good idea to play as Zack. He mind didn't screwed as much nearing the end of the "5 years ago" story. Also Zack goes before Cloud joined shinra. More story.

Are they gonna release this on any other system? Like maybe PS2? I saw some screenshots at gamespot(My crappy connection can't play those videos) and somehow it resembled to Dirge of Cerberus... So they could do it...

no they didn't ported FF9 did they?

I hope this game is not another dirge of cerberus...

There are also other good games on the PSP, too. Just take a look around. :)
By the way... FF9 was indeed not ported to the PC... and FF8 and FF7 would only be good for specific computers with appropriate hardwares. I know this because I've tried both of them on two different computers... one is a Celeron 500Mhz with everything else onboard and one is the one in my siggy... results? The Celeron 500Mhz was the dream machine for the games. o_O

for ff7 there was a celeron patch. You'll find an amazing truckload of patches and help on edios' support for ff7 (don't remember if it was on europe edios or edios.com, wasn't on both). I've yet to find a hardware setup i can't get ff7 pc port to work on, oh and many of the problems are solely for windows XP and with ACT (application compatability toolkit) with shrinker and win2k on you can get it running practically flawlessly on win2k.

Strange? My 500Mhz Celeron worked too perfect for the game that it made me stare at how my Cel 4.80Ghz was running the same game. To be quite honest, I didn't even need a single patch for FF7 or FF8 when I played the games on my 500Mhz Cel. Just needed to install the game and... off we go! The music sounded better than the PS1 version, too... and I still can't re-create that audio experience with any of the new sound cards I have... even the recently bought Creative X-Fi. :/

there should be a "sound effect" button on your taskbar (lower right part). Try messing around with settings there. This is probably because the more expensive and fancy sound cards don't do a very great job at simulating instruments, just fine tuning them. FF7's music is .mid files which just instruct the simulation of instruments instead of true recordings like .wav.

Also, i think that celeron patch was ment for the a bit newer celerons. If the 500mhz and the 4.8ghz were so similar in technology that something as old as ff7 could treat them equally well, they'd both be 500mhz. Technologies change!

Although, i still have't found any newer-than-2000 computers/lappies that work with ff7 without any hassle.

Well, speaking not as a FF7-hater, but as a gamer, FF7 has been done to death. I thought they would stop it when snowboarding came out, but, no... looks like they learned their lesson with Dirge, but clearly not. What do you bet that this'n will suck, too? I'm in for $50 ;)

Those weren't FMVs, they were in game cutscenes. The only FMV I saw was (what I assume to be) the intro.

But I doubt it'll be that long of a game anyways, given both the genre and the platform.
