Way to make assumptions as to his usage for it...
A good answer would be to use a program like UltraISO (which I liked in the past). Another option is to load the image in daemon tools and create a new image from that virtual drive.

Why Exodus? Even Alcohol, the main program for creating MDF/MDS files allows to create different file formats, why he didn't do so in the first place is beyond us ;)

I don't have Alcohol reinstalled yet, but aren't the choices for image formats limited when you use one of those presets? If you use custom or something, the complete list is shown.

As for the ccd issue, I'm pretty sure if you ignore the .ccd and just load up the actual image, it works.

There are zero reasons why you would have a MDS/MDF that you need to convert to ISO. Zero. Absolutely none.

Because they both contain the same data, and since you have Alcohol 120%, you can just mount the ISO and use the data in the same way.

And if you have the CD/DVD, you could just throw it in another app and make a legitimate ISO, if that's what you specifically want. OR just go back into Alcohol 120% and use the CloneCD format, which seems to be more "directly" compatible (i.e. ePSXe loads it natively, unlike MDS/MDF).

Converting .mdf to .iso and PLAYING it.

You can use magiciso to convert mds/mdf to iso , or burn .mds/mdf to cd. It works properly.
In case anyone wonders why I have more than a zero reason to have an .mdf and .mds file, it is because that is how the download arrived. It is a game. I want to use a virtual drive. I do not at any point want to burn it to a disc for any reason. I have Magic ISO. It easily created the virtual drive. However, it will not convert the .mdf to an .iso or even to a .bin file. I use the "convert" option on the menu, but it says "can't find the file, or file isn't a cd image!."

Another forum suggested many times to many people to simply rename the .mdf file to .bin and then convert to .iso. This works, meaning that Magic ISO will accept the file and convert it to .iso, but after mounting the .iso file, it doesn't play. It doesn't autorun or play or anything. "Exploring" contents of the virtual drive shows a temp file of only 1kb. However, if I convert the .iso to .uif, then mount the .uif, although it still won't play or autorun or anything, it will then show the .mdf file in the virtual drive (when exploring contents).

Others downloading this same file claim it works for them, otherwise I would assume it was a bad file.

Speaking in general to all who can help: Any suggestions other than downloading a bunch of other tools? Magic ISO may not be preferred by everyone, but there is no indication it is a bad program which doesn't work. There must be something else wrong here. I know half of it must be because I have never done this before.. but please leave insults at home. I want to resolve this, not run away feeling like I had no right to try.

Converting images from one format to another introduces data inconsistencies.

Thats not to mention that You have broken the emuforums warez policy and so will not recieve any further help in the matter.
