I think that Capcom vs. SNK is one of THE most fun fighting games out in the market..the only cr@ppy thing is that I CANNOT for the life of me get it to work in ePSXe!! Does anyone know how? I'm using ePSXe v1.5.2, and it doesn't matter which configuration of plugins I use.....it just doesn't work!! HELP!!!!

Better on PSX???

asz: CvS on PSX is no match for the Dreamcast version.
I'd have to disagree, you're getting a dumbed down version of Capcom Vs. SNK PRO. The only thing you can really compare are load times to having Dan and Joe. I still have to say that the better version to play is the Dreamcast. But if you don't want to spend years getting enough points to unlock everything, you definately want PRO for PSX, just realize there's the lag of loading and the constant restarting of background music, instead of the Dreamcast's ability to run the music through an opponent change.

BTW, it you didn't like the Dreamcast normal controller setup, invest in a programmable Mad Catz controller with 6 buttons on the top, good for Capcom 6 button fighters. That way you don't have to use those pesky triggers.

The PSX revision.

I agree, for stepping back a console the game stands out among the PSX's fighting line. I guess what I was trying to really say was that asz was comparing apples to oranges. Sure, the graphics are dumbded down, and recycled for the most part. But what he was doing was comparing Capcom Vs. SNK on DC to Capcom Vs. SNK Pro on the PSX. It's not really the same game...it the same game with the same endings and excharacters, with two extra characters stuck in for fun and a slightly altered intro. Man, can capcom make a sequil or what? I guess it's good for all the PS2 owners who got Capcom Vs. SNK 2 and never had the chance to play the first one on DC. Quite frankly, that's where I'd have like to seen CVS2, but oh well. (Confidientially, I have both Capcom Vs. SNK and Capcom Vs. SNK Pro....call it an addiction....call it Bubba, it's not like it cares.)
