Decided to try out ePSXe 1.70 today with Pete's OpenGL2 2.9 plugin but as the title says all the text is covered in weird black smudges and is unreadable. I'm using a Nvidia 5700 256mb if that helps.

Here's a screen to show what I mean;

post the settings you are using with it.

It's become readable but now there's weird textures all over the speech bubbles, I tried messing around with the settings and cranked everything up to max and it made the black dissapear completely but the weird textures on the speech bubbles are still there.

these are what i use for the OGL2, you may have to tweak a few things so they dont cause performance issues on your system but the basic idea is there for the most part.

it didnt fix it? do you have anything like FSAA or AF being forced onto applications via your video cards control panel?

update to Geforce Drivers 175.16, they work here on my 5900 so they should work on your 5700

its more then likely a driver bug.

Hey, I'm having the same problem as he has. I just recently updated my drivers.
I have a radeon 9800 Pro 256megabites
Dell 2.4 Ghz
1g of ram.

The videos look great, I get plenty of fps, but I just can't read the texts.

I do also have Pete's 2.9 GL2 video drivers.

I have also tried everything you listed above for the other guy with the problem

fool around with the offscreen drawing setting. and what did you update your drivers to, 8.5 or higher?

wait you mean you have AA and/or AF being forced onto applications? disable them or set it to application preference because they will often cause artifacts or various other weird things with epsxe.

I also, just tried messing around with all the off screen drawling commands

Yeah, did have that being forced, but I just turned that off as well and tried and it didn't do anything.

well keep them off anyway for now, just in case. can you post a shot of the video config you are currently using right now? and does this glitch show up in other plugins like the d3d, ogl1, or software?
