well, the series in itself wasnt too bad. the gba game was nice enough to get a more direct contact of the 'real thing'. reality can be pretty boring though (you can easily forget rules, and would be better off playing with either more capable players or with an 'arbiter' of sorts. not really the handiest)

Played all of them, and got addicted to the real thing too. I've been a maniac for about 3-4 years (since it got in my country). I too, like the games better if they have a storyline (i.e.:GX Spirit Caller, Nightmare Troubadour, GX Duel Academy, The Sacred Cards, Reshef of Destruction...), but the WC series is also great because you can use the GOD cards which are absolutely the most awesome cards in the history of the game. And it's also great because you can try out the rarest cards also which you can't buy to use in a real duel.

Yeah I also got addicted to the series. I love the strategy.

However every few months I just get frustrated by how very luck based this game is. I have played online quite a few times with YVD and another unofficial online yu-gi-oh! game and after 2-3 months of intense playing you start noticing how everything is based on luck. You can have the best deck in the world, but if you can't draw the right cards at the right time then you will still lose. The entire game is based on either one card your openent draws or does not manage to draw or one card you draw or don't manage to get. This frustrates me. So for a while I am Yu-Gi-Oh! addicted and then I am over it again for a few months, then I get back into it again and then get over it again in a continuously ongoing cycle.

This really should be moved to Game Discussion though.

I just get so frustrated losing though, just because I could not draw one daft card...like when I need a simple monster card (any monster card will do) and I can't draw a single one, it's just magic and trap cards...eventhough half my deck is made up of monster cards.

I know it's the way reality works, but I want to lose due to lack of skill...not simple bad luck.

This is a good thread...it just needs to be moved there Rikki, it would be pointless to start another one there as there already is some good content in this one.

As for the exclusivity of each game, the ban list is continously changeing every few months and there's also a new set every few months, that's why almost every new game has cards that the others did not, whilst also having a different banlist to the former games.
The only two games which completely mess up a veteran are The Sacred Cards and Reshef of Destruction as they bring extra rules into place (like some elemental rules) and are missing a fair deal of cards. O and Dungeon Dice Monsters of course.

I love playing against my friends and i have much better deck than them but even sometimes I lose against them! Why?It's because you need very good deck and you need to have luck to beat someone every single time!I have about 20 monster and every monster even monsters with 4 stars don't have att. under 1900

I've been a Yugi fan myself and Actually, all card games has to do with luck yet Yugi card game is the most not luck using game. Here is a tip, the card total should be about 45-55 cards and only 12-15 trap and magic cards. Their should be less than 7 monster cards which are 5 stars or above. I personally now use 3 decks, one mainly with the using of 3 "Inferno" and one with the "Dragon FGD" and one with the two Envoys. I never ran into the situation of no cards to use or wrong cards drawn.Mainly have three cards that can destroy a monster istantly (like the Man-Eater Bug) But if you are new in this game, never ever use card that are 7 stars or above.

I'm not new at playing YuGiOh cards and my deck has between 48 and 50 cards in it.I have too much great cards and it's hard for me to decide which cards will I place in my deck because i don't want to have more than 50 cards in my deck.If you have too many cards in deck your chances to win a duel are smaller because you can hardly get card that you need to finish and win duel.

The only problem is that both of the Envoys are forbidden.:)
When one is forbidden, the other isn't, and playing with friends dont matter, so I only use my Pyro deck now.

You got that right.

No, actually both of them are forbidden by the latest Advanced List (2007.sep.01.):)...check here-->Game Play - Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Upper Deck Entertainment
But yeah, among friends it doesn't really matter.:thumb:

Yugioh is for Emo's
No, it's not. It's for youngs and grown-ups alike. Everyone can play it, and should. One does not become an Emo because they play Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG or like it. (Emo's are bred by idiotic music boy groups and because they think they are so alone and helpless and nobody can understan them. I personally despise them and think they are pathetic.) Only idiots say that a card game or cartoon makes one an Emo or lame. It's a great anime and excelent TCG. It can help you practice your maths and sharpen your memory, makes you think in advance, plan strategies.:innocent::rolleyes::D
If you don't like it, don't post here.Duh.:???:
