Unfortunately, my GPU sucks, and on OpenGL it runs really slow, so if i want enhanced graphics for 3D games its DX6 D3D only which happens to run MUCH better.

However, i cant find an option to get it to keep the aspect ratio, is there any way i can do this, in many games i have to choose a distorted but clean image or a fuzzy but 'correct' image. Would help loads, thanks.

Edit: Just so you know, the PC i play ePSXe on isnt the one in my sig

Post your PC specs.

And your GPU plugin setting.

i dont think its possible with the D3D plugin.

i dont think its possible with the D3D plugin.
My specs are

Intel C2D T4570 @ 1.6ghz
2gb DDR2 RAM
Intel X3100

Thats the killer, the GPU, its about the level of a GeForce 6200 at its peak, but most games it performs MUCH MUCH MUCH worse. In fact, due to its lack of vertex shaders, it performance worse in older gamers than newer games, weird huh...

Either way, is there any work around?

Okay thank but what is it your trying to show?
don't mind him, hes just the forum mascot, he showed up one day, and some regulars fed him, so now he never leaves, unfortunately.

As to what you want, there aren't any ratio controls in the 1.x plugins, im sure you could ask pete to add it, but then again, we could just wait for him to open source it and do it ourselves later...

Can you just shut it up.
Thanx in advance.

Are you trying to FLAMEBAIT me into an arguement? thats against the rules you know.

Plz, don't take $200, don't pass go, head directly to banned.

Okay thanks for the heads up = )

As for the plug-in, it would be a major help, i play more games on my laptop than on my main PC, mainly because for some reason ive made it my main. Hopefully Pete updates them soon

Are you using OpenGl 1.77 ?

Try this. Its everything at max. Still no slowdown whatsoever.

Image
Is that on your laptop? I have Intel GMA965, its capable but currently lacking driver support, terrible with OpenGL. Also, getting rid of screen-smoothing will kill graphical quality a lot wouldnt it?

it will actually make the image sharper in most cases.

i can get opengl 2.9 to work on a geforce 2, the gma 965 should be able to.

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9

- Internal X resolution: 0
- Internal Y resolution: 0
- Keep psx aspect ratio: off
- Render mode : 1

- Filtering: 4
- Hi-Res textures: 2
- TexWin pixel shader: off
- VRam size: 0 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 1
- Framebuffer effects: 2
- Framebuffer uploads: 2

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Mdec filter: on
- Screen filtering: on
- Shader effects: 0/1
- Flicker-fix border size: 2
- GF4/XP crash fix: off
- Game fixes: on [00000002]

Even that runs slow, unless there is a config that allows youre games too look just as good but with little loss?
what version of epsxe are you using? if you are using anything other than 1.7.0 you need to set the cpu affinity for the emulator to only one of your cores.

@ V1ncent

Thanks, tried it, but sucked as usual, the X3100 again is better with newer games than older games due to lack of vertex shaders, and also, driver support for OpenGL right now is terrible. The chip is VERY capable, but as off now, on older games, the GMA 950 is BETTER.

@ Squall-Leonhart

Didnt work either = ( Im guessing for the same reason

@ jonc2006

Software and D3D run perfectly fine, its just these two, but i did try your affinity fix but didnt help. Yikes = (

Thanks again though = )

try setting the memory amount to that of the shared memory set.
