great job. does ffx still require a save game now? to get past the into movie?
also is this still only available to beta testers?
In it's current status you CAN start a new game, but VURec tends to get out of sync just after you get control of the game. So far everyone that has started a new game, has gotten frozen in a loop at the point where Tidus signs the ball for the fans.

I have one question and this might sound newbish....but since you guys said that the IPU is controlled by another thread....does that mean you need a dual core cpu? And if not, is there a slow down? (im guessing so)
you dont "need" a dual core, it will work on a single core processor, just you get more of a benifit from a dual core or HT technology

well my processor is only single threaded, but i dont think there is really no, the new ipu does a lot more due to bug fixes and stuff missing in the previous IPU, so theres quite a slowdown on some vids, especially those that didnt play
Oh well..hey at least I have SSE2 :D

I can't view the movie from where I am, so... how do the video speeds compare to the ingame speeds of the games that they're from?
Ingame is going about 8fps while the movies are going around 15fps :p

also If you slowing down the movie to 15 - 20% of it's actual speed you get the speed i had in pcsx2. This is because mine FFX is a pal version (50fps max) while the video capture from gsdx9 is set on 60fps for 1 second and the Emu was going about 8 - 14fps. so calculate/see it for yourself :p

Well....you really can't use PCSX2 without a bios. And since you said you do not have a ps2, then I can tell you now that you can not LEGALLY own and use a bios. The reason is that it is the property of Sony. The only way you can get it is if you take it out ("Ripping") your bios from YOUR OWN ps2 and no one elses. So you have 3 choices to play these games. 1. buy a ps2 and play it on the console. 2. buy a ps2 and rip your bios and play PCSX2 (well whatever you can). 3. wait for ps3 and buy that....and then play your ps2 game on it.
