I will change my mind when ATI will release CCC running on Slow PCs or HTTPs. Until then my opinion is done.LuZi said:It always does take some time when you push one of the buttons, so you are right, it is slow, but ati is planning to release future drivers (beginning with 5.0 i think) only compatible with the new control panel.
And who knows, maybe they optimize it in the next release, so it's faster....

For meminder, the goal of a good HTTP is to work silently (slow cpu without a fan), a good VGA card with TV out and a superb Sound card.
HTPC = Home Theater PC.... :lol:Reichfuher said:HTPC's

ohh i see. thx I-Chan. i dont really mind...i harldy use the current CP :lol:I-Chan said:There is an interesting thread on rage3D describing the ccc, and as of now, it's as buggy as it can get. And it's meant for R300 and higher, wich a 9200 is not, so it won't work for you Chrono. I'm going to wait until later revisions make it better.
Thats somethin I've always liked about my video card, good ol' DV. Very useful in GTA3 and in some movies I watch which dont have quite enough color to em.Mr. Killjoy said:Does it add Digital Color Vibrance slide bar like on NV cards?
I fear that at this time DV is Nvidia feature only. Havent tested this new CP, but i heard that only NVidia support DV by hardware (i have NO idea if it requires HW support though. Maybe we should ask ATI about this?) currently...Mr. Killjoy said:Does it add Digital Color Vibrance slide bar like on NV cards?
Oh, i certainly would, but price? 5900XT, even Golden Samples, costs about 210€ here. That is excellent price for a card about same speed with ATI 9800Pro, and when overclocked, it beats the crap out of it.Kane-Sama said:Get a 68xx based card. They blow the 5xxx series right out of the water, and a coniderable distance into the stratosphere
