hm yeah...
but it's not as bad as win98<>xp compatibility issues ;P
I think half(?) my library of games doesn't work on XP, because I used to buy quite a few in 1997/1998 :/

I have had no problems with SP2 whatsoever, other than the bootscreen issue before I realised what the hell was goin wrong.

It does, but there were rumours that it would block more keys

Well, it doesn't really matter to me what programs will or wont work with sp2 because I couldn't get ICS to work right....so...back to sp1 for me

diskeeper ain't working? Well then I definitely ain't updating this. That and zinc won't work lol

Uh.... both Zinc and Diskeeper are working fine here.

If you guys took some time to read, you'd notice that most compatibility problems are with soft in the original state, meaning, 1.0, and most of them have patch, so, instead of taking the easy way and flame MS, take some time to read, and anyway, if was to be expected, you don't increase security without some loss with some apps.

it shouldnt be nescesary.

anyway, not really much to see here, as the problems are minor, or virtually non-existant, apparantly.

I'm on a Thouroughbred core and I had no problems playing Soul Blade on it.

Looks like someone couldn't read the linked thread. In short your old thouroughbred core is like fine, the newer AMD and soon to be released Intel processors are the ones that probably won't work with zinc due to the NX (possibly the same reason for diskeeper I'm not sure)..

With that said I'm sure I'd take the word of the programmers for zinc and mame over that of yourself in just saying that everything is fine and they don't know anything.
