I've got 2048 down and 256 up with *no* monthly bandwidth caps or restriction of ports

i dont have any bandwidth caps either, but my isp gets angry when i go over 60 or so gigs a month then again i have a split connection and both me and my brother have about 55gigs monthly bandwidth each

LOL. I upgraded mostly because my ISP called my house saying I was downloading too much. Plus for that much extra. 384kbps to 5mbps is only 5 more bucks a month.

i dont pay any extra monthly stuff i just had to buy a new modem... and my isp emailed me as well saying i was part of the few users who were using more than 2000% of the average users bandwidth im actually rather proud of that

I heard their email is horrible. And that they cap your upload to 100 if you upload too much. Have you ever experienced any problem with this isp

nope i run a server and typically upload around 15-20 gigs a month and download around 75-100 ul maxes at 128Kilobytes ps which is way better then most and the download is completely dependent on the server 99% of the time

I have cox Cable, It downloads fast and I dont need a fast upload. It's just not that important to me.

Hm i am 56k dialup,it's the l337test roxor over joo cable fools.But i may soon jump onto broadband.

512/512 sdsl. Cant afford faster since broadbands are very expensive here.

It doesn't matter where you live anymore, broardband is getting more and more expensive everwhere. Guess they didn't caculate the upkeep costs very well

more people = more upkeep = more cost
less people = less earnings = more cost per person

so anyways, we all lose
