wow..... if could swear humans have the same properties of that.... and look how we4 are right now.... plus a machine would be faster at making decisions and rewriting its own source.... so it could corrupt itself faster
That is assuming it will remain having the same evolution and adaption capability we have (close to NULL)

well... we have hell of an evolutionary capability.... just that we evolve in a dead end way
Well.... -30, 0... in practical terms it does nothing but proving my point that human race is not sutiable to govern :p... IMO the only reason for us to exist is for us to invent or evolve into the next step of the evolution chain

ehemm.... well that might actually prove to be v difficult... as finding the so called purest breeds can prove to be an oddisey. Its much more easy to produce perfectionated breeds though bioengineering :p

Agreed.
Maybe we can use genetic engineering specialized growth guidence to create the perfect politician. Whose every move is backed up by "The Overlord"

Then this person could have the power to carry out what "The Overlord suggests (ie. banning if necessary)

What makes you think that simply having a perfect DNA structure will give you a perfect, sinless mind? One that won't screw over its own people for personal gain? Is this thinking along the lines that any aberrant behaviour must be genetic? That we are not responsible for our actions because we are defective, and that if we had perfect genetics we would not do such things? No, I think the problem goes deeper. It is clear to me that I am responsible for every action I take, no one else forced me to do anything... and I don't believe that my genetics tell me to do one thing or another. Situations, maybe. Genetics, no.

Genetics would definitely play some (even if minor) role in influencing your every decision.
Examples: If you are physically challenged due to a genetic flaw then your whole life experience would be based upon that. Or perhaps your genetic make up makes you remember things slighty differently than everyone else (of course I'd say it's safe to say no one rembers things in exactly the same way) then because your actions are based on your past experience and your past experience is remebered differently than they may have been with different genetic code, your actions would be different.
Long story short, my opinion is that your genetic code definitely influences nearly all your decisions.
Also 'sin' is an element of religion and since all religions are different what is a 'sin' to one person may be 'saintly' to another.
Of course I'll agree that a perfect person would make mistakes etc. simply because it is impossible to be "perfect" simply because no two people's definition of the word are the same.

In relation to the thread's topic, if someone is more inteligent due to their genetic code (even if by chance) I would say that is a definite bonus for any leader of a government.

Well... a perfect genetic code would change your way to act..... look at the modern phychiatric medicine.... it is focused on pharmaceutics that target specific proteins and channels in the braincells..... a genetic modification which would compensate such errors would erase every kind of psychiatric pathology in your behavior..... any questions?

lol I forgot all about that website let's see if there's anything new

I still think that a perfect genetic structure does not necessitate perfect actions (not merely mistakes, but acts that some would find downright evil). Why should a perfect genetic structure prevent such a being from going down the path of "I'm better than everyone else... Their input means nothing, their feelings mean nothing... in fact, their nothing more than slaves to me."?

Such a being would have to be restricted... and it would likely resent the restricting. Also, who would be trust to do the restricting? How could we be sure it's secure? If we ever get to this stage, we'll be playing with a lot of power... which could backfire spectacularly. I'd much prefer just about anything else to fiddling around with this.
