will PS2 emus be able to play PSX games and DVDs? if they used an HLE bios, i dont know, but it seems if you use a real PS2 bios then you can run those other things...

I highly doubt it........The PS2 uses some kind of processing to emulate PSX games on the PS2.....that would be almost impossible to emulate on a PC. Thats what the Autors have stated, anyways.....And DVDs?? I doubt that too.......
the PS2 isn't emulating PSX games, the ps2 has the psx "motherboard" thats apart of the ps2 (or used by the ps2)

i don't see them just leaving it to the emulation.. if sony and bill gates got together and discussed this with leaders of all big game developers yeah... but sony loves the fame of there console..
most game designers know that emulators are out there.. but there isn't anything they can do about it..
i am currently playing wild arms 2 and the one thing i love about epsxe is that i also have a good working enhancement from code breakers..
but like I said the idea of console is where the sony company makes the money to sponsor such games in there system..
think of sony as the NBA
FF7 as a new college kid looking to play the developer was square individual company N.B.A sends scouts out to recruit it into there system..
i know what i just said was like hard to comprehend but work with me on this

if you want my true thoughts on the minimum requirements i really can't see full speed until 5-8ghz. The top of the line systems can't run full speed on the bios but come close.. but remember that's WITHOUT sound. With the release of the athlon64 i'm speculating that it'll be best done in a 64bit environment but don't take my word for it.

Sound isn't going to double the workload. :\ Things have changed a lot since the days of SNES emulators, where emulating the sound was very CPU intensive. SPU emulation shouldn't be a big deal for PS2 emulation. It'll most definitely be a bigger deal as far as the Dreamcast is concerned, though.

Actually if you look at the PCSX2 CVS tree, they are basically, i think, going to use PCSX along with PCSX2 so that it will be able to play both PS1 and PS2 games, because they have stuck the PCSX R3000A CPU(PS1 CPU) emulator inside the CVS tree, so I'm guessing whenever they get around to it they might just add in PS1 emulation.

I bought VAY from them last year. I don't recall their web address offhand, but if I can find it again I'll post it here for you. Another place to look for Sega CDs would be at thrift store and flea markets. At a thrift store is where I managed to find Sonic CD.
sincerely,

what the heck is a thrift store, and why would you go to a place wher they sell fleas? :???: you must be crazy!

im guessing your native language isnt english, or you are being an *******. im assuming its not your native language.

a "flea market" and "thrift store" are nicknames for stores where you buy stuff really cheap...and they arent that fancy
